I agree with Moz, it just happens! Just take a break, get out with ur friends, with your gf/bf, just chill down. And one day "Mapping" will call you back.
I've got it too but it doesn't help that I prefer fantasy/medieval and now d3 is on the horizon...
I get it all the time, but then I kind of force myself to slave at my current map, because in the end I know I would want to play the final product personally, never mind about the community.
If you feel that you are getting good ideas during break write that idea immediately to a paper / notepad. Keep 1 or 2 weeks break and when you 1st time open editor after break check your notebook. You can do thinking job without using editor and when you are thinking it you get more excited about your idea. Anyway don't open editor even if you feel like "I have to do this immediately!". It is useless to sit front of editor for two hours without doing anything useful. I get good ideas while I am jogging or just laying on a bed or couch.
I has it.
@Eiviyn: Go
I have chronic case of it I think you'll get over yours :)
You waits for HotS.
It happens. Get into the feeling. Fuck mapping, . You'll miss it eventually and that's when it's time to get back.

All my ideas come when I am sick of mapping, then i try to use the ideas but i don't feel like it so nothing ever gets done.
