I've played a version of this yeah. I don't think it works s on my computer anymore though. I thought they canceled the series though? RCT4 is actually a real possibility?
Oh I have the game here somewhere and all the expansion packs! =DDD The Zoo, Pool? Or am I even talking of the same game? xD
So when will we make a map like it? xP
I have Zoo Tycoon. I played it when I was little and always put penguins in the tiger cage. Then I put the tigers in the Triceratops cage (as to why they had a triceratops I have no idea).
Would terran be the owners of the zoo and protoss and zerg be the animals? You would start off with critters. Can you change textures of the ground in a certain range with triggers? Like set up a volcanic area for those lava crabs.
Can you change the textures on the ground with triggers? Can you do it from textures that are not on your pallete (the 8 you get)? If so, I would skip with joy around the house a few times.
I can do it actually, i have an idea that would make it completely possible. Take a look at my ArtCraft map, and the way i have it set up is by using the Square shape. im sure you can change the texture of the shape also, and lower it enough to make it like a seemless path. I'll give it a shot...

I'm working on a Tower Defense Tycoon game, inspired by the Rollercoaster Tycoon series. Look for it on b.net in a few months, hopefully before the end of the year.
I was searching Steam, when i came across an old game...
ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON 3: PLATINUM! for $29.99
I was so exited, i purchased it. I personally LOVE this game, and can't wait for Rollercoaster Tycoon 4.
Anyone else played this game?
I don't think there ever will be a RCT4. Apparently Chris Sawyer (owner of the IP) sued atari or frontier or whoever you sue for this sort of thing) because they didn't pay the right amount for royalties.

I only had the first one and the second. I can only imagine how great the others got.
Hell I got them all for just $10.50 at a garage sale.

I was thinking of making a ZooTycoon replica on starcraft 2...

There is a thread about decals being used for high res and additional textures, that should be the way to go
Random Test (Museum-Type thing)

Sounds awesome.

Is Sawyer the publisher or developer?
for RCT1 + 2 he was both.
If he owns the IP he can have someone else develop it.
