From what I've heard a lot of games announced this year are basically "yet another FPS/TPS where you just shoot like crazy and find cover, à la Gears of War", at least this game brings more than this and it looks really nice. Assassin's Creed looks interesting as well, I think Ubisoft is the most deserving company this year, that is if their games are as good as they look... Please Ubisoft, don't disappoint us again with another shitty DRM... Pretty please, with a sugar on top!

Good luck with that. I gave up hope after I digitally bought Heroes VI for 55 bucks and lateron found out that I only had 30 day access to the downloader, leaving me with a valid CD key but without a legal installer once I re-installed my PC. For as bad as DRM gets, Ubisoft is probably the one company where getting a pirated version of their game actually gives you BETTER support than buying it (as a clarification: the only way for me right now to play my legally bought version of H6 right now is to illegally download the game). Don't think I'll ever be buying a Ubi game again. Which I think is a shame, because they do make some pretty sick stuff - their story developers and art teams are probably on par with Blizzard levels.
Didn't even brother to look at the Watch Dogs videos until right now, and I have to say I'm going to be keeping a very close eye on it. Looks like assassins creed mixed with some modern day shooting.

Assassins Creed 3 is interesting as well of course :) Looks pretty good, and I like that they changed the combat system.
Dunno what to think about naval stuff - it looks good, but it just doesn't look like the kind of thing I'd want in an assassins creed game. I wanna run around and do some stealthy stuff or fight like a badass, and while the ship stuff does look very well made and interesting, I don't think it really fits in. Plus, an assassin being a ship captain? Yea, it's not that odd, but I'm fairly certain Connor is supposed to be an assassin like Ezio and Altair - They were the guys who took out high profile targets using their l33t skillz, who made sure the order/organization/whatevers its called ran as it should and their allies were protected. They had better things to do than play ship captain - I'm fairly certain that if Ezio had to take part in a naval battle, he would have left the captain part to someone he believed was capable of it and would just do his part in the boarding. I dunno, it might end up good, but right now I feel its a bit awkward. Might have made more sense if Connor wouldn't be the actual captain but just someone on a ship that's being captained by another one of Desmonds relatives (It's not *that* unlikely, especially if the captain was part of the assassins order as well), and that the game switched to Connor's memories as soon as the boarding starts. I dunno, just my opinion. I find it slightly odd/awkward that the lead assassin would captain a ship. Will see how it plays out, maybe it does fit afterall :) Not like we know much about the storyline or Connor anyway.
