meh didn't mean any harm, I truly thought this was a joke until I realized it wasn't ........As a female I know about MLP prob more than most seeing I was a child once . Seeing it as a topic with a few pages here on the mapping community caught me by surprise and made me LOL more than anything. Sorry for insulting those cute little things. Now when I think of MLP as an adult this is what I think of LOL
Although you may like Gorandors replacement avatar xD
I was actually considering replacing my avatar with the replacement version, but for the sake of consistency I'll go with something more recognizable and fitting with the thread. :P

lets just say this generation is NOTHING LIKE the old stuff
Let me know, we can arrange an xbox viewing party for My Little Ponies, Rainbow Bright and Strawberry Shortcake with my daughter. I checked with my 13 year old daughter and she offered to set it up... but I had to endure her laughing at me. Just add us. Pony Power Forever! I'm a 31 year old man and I comb their hair every day! Go Go Ponies!
I actually have a recording of the gentle woman singing the my little ponies theme song that starts when my computer boots.
For those of you who don't know the first episode starts like this:
Twilight Sparkle is tasked with going to Ponyville and make some friends. There, she meets fellow ponies Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy. However, she is too focused on finding out and preventing a prophecy, involving an evil pony who was sealed within the moon and would return during the "longest day of the thousandth year".//
"My little ponies" is the greatest thing to hit youthful heterosexual male tv's since ICarly. I don't understand why Milfeus came on here, I bet she didn't know other opinions weren't allowed in the my little pony thread... how dare she. I forced my 6 year boy old to watch that god forsaken show, he freaking cried.... Transformers and GI Joe were too feminine.
Because it's not socially acceptable if it's not preparing young children for the military and the future prospect of war correct, unless they're gay of course - nope, can't have the homosexual in the military now can we? And that is why we must make a distinction here, since of COURSE the males should only be prepped to die for their country while the women only prepped for child bearing - we mustn't have the gender distinctions disturbed, for the sake of the future!
I think I would prepare my boy to breed before i prepare him to die. Good point though thanks. I think any girl over 10 that watches it is somewhat weird as well. As far as the homosexual reference, not my point, I have half a dozen family members that are homosexual, some of them are over for a visit right now, they don't watch it either and think it's funny that you're making a pony into a new flag for them.
I'll excuse myself from the conversation, not interested in an off topic discussion that somehow gets turned into some sort of discussion about homosexuality... thought we were talking about ponies.
Edit:
Didn't know we weren't allowed to argue a point without being called a gay-basher. Really what do ponies have to do with being gay?
So did I, but I'm sorry if the topic of this conversation isn't macho enough for you, good luck with the whole "prepare him to die" thing, I trust he'll be a fine young cadet. As for being a flag, I was merely going along with the implications of your theory, and of course the implications of "proper" breeding children with completely defined gender roles (which homosexuality would unfortunately defy in this societal model (as with anything that is labeled as feminine that boy may perhaps find interest in), no offense to your family intended) - best regards to you and your future endeavors.
Edit: Also deal with the fact that it is already a meme. If you don't enjoy ponies, you can sure enjoy all remakes about them.
I enjoy those and the show. I don't really own any toys and never plan to. What is proven by the show is that it can be good no matter it's cover. And that is the same for any show, as long as it had propeer thinking in development..
Real men watch whatever they want and don't give a fuck what other people think.
Yup. But if they have a "Go Go Power Ranger" fetish they usually have the sense to keep it to themselves. My little pony gets a pass on the harrassment because it's apparently got the gay card associated with it. Can't just make fun of some dude playing with little girls dolls and singing along to the theme song to my little ponies without being called a gay basher apparently. Didn't know gays owned it.
Just for reference, if you use the words "sexuality" and "my little ponies" in any way whatsoever, it does say something about you. It says that a target audience of 5-12 year old girls is something that you associate sexuality with says enough. Enjoy your day, pony power!

you didn't check any episode, did you?
You are completely entitled to your opinion, but what exactly did that post accomplish, aside for wasting few more seconds of your life typing it?
Zing!
@Milfeus: Go
Try to stay on topic please and no insults. This is a valid OT topic. If you don't like the content, don't read it.

Your avatar is animated, which mapster doesn't like. Could you change it to a static one? :) (http://forums.sc2mapster.com/general/general-chat/13350-new-rules-ya-feeling-pretty-yet/)

This series is awesome and has a lot of meme potential :D.
I posted it in the Friday thread :P.
Couldn't agree more. I'm sick of social discrimination.
Also, wish this was in the market:
