Oh, another status update: I finally watched Dr. Who, therefore I finally understand your avatar! And by finally watched, I mean binge watched all 7 seasons in 2 weeks... It was worth it.
Well, maybe your avatar isn't from Dr. Who. But it's still David Tennant, so it counts. Let's not turn this into a Dr. Who thread, but speaking of which, do we have any Whovians on SC2Mapster?
EDIT: Oh wow, thanks guys. Thanks for telling me I started the thread with "I us mods"... o.O
EDIT2: I've decided to leave the "I us mods" in the thread. It adds character.

Shame on you XD, Trying to go back to "topic": I swim as well as a stone cube, really, can't cross 6 meters before sinking and needing immediate help to save my life. Ohhh and did I say that in biology I work with... FISH? lol that's true. In the end there are ways to work with fish without the need to swim.
I'm 3/4 of the way through that book and I would have to agree it's comical whilst still being serious and interesting. I've enjoyed what I have read so far.
I assume that if youre logged into your gmail account you can probably highlight and comment on stuff if you find something stupid I did or just wanna comment on anything in particular :)
I'm studying my last year of upper secondary high, also known as gymnasium in some European countries. I will have studied 13 subjects total, with the focus being on biology, chemistry, physics, maths and English. I've also been in England and been host for an Englishman, both for one week. This summer I will most likely move away from my hometown to continue my studies somewhere else. Haven't figured out what yet, possibly either maybe computer or engineering related, because that really narrows it down...
My computer is having a bit of a spas and crashes when I try to run anything that is really taxing, so I've been playing LoL and Hearthstone because those games can actually run on this machine. Other things I'm doing on my free time is taking my driving license, being on the internet, reading this really interesting book about aliens, reading A song of Ice and Fire, and thinking a lot about fictional gameworlds.
I have been working for IBM as a VMware Administrator and Data Center Administrator for nearly 4 years. It's a fun job, but leaves little time and mood for hobby development.

You're still working on your projects, though, just in the most horribly, painfully, agonizingly, loquaciously slow manner possible.
Well I pretty much done with Hewlett Packard Technical Support in favor of a local tech company. Still on the pay role just not paid. Took this semester off from college cause last semester broke me, and I still need someone to make sprites for my arcade game.
Took this semester off from college cause last semester broke me
Huh? I don't understand. Are you simply saying you're broke and need to work instead of taking college, or are you literally saying you're taking a semester off because college has made you broke? Don't you pay for a full year?
@Mozared: Go
I pay by the semester i think most state colleges and universities are like that in America. But college has made me poor, and I cant afford this year without student loans (luckily i get enough financial aid that i have been managing to avoid those)
@Gradius12: Go
Finals have made me a shell of a man, Fat also.

This was what I was thinking from your post. That's interesting. We pay on a yearly basis over here in Holland (and I think most European countries?). Huh. What do you study?
Speaking of college, where do you all live? I have a sweet apartment with my best friend. 15x11 foot rooms (sorry, not doing the metric conversion on that one haha), with a nice fake granite kitchen and a fairly large living area. I'm assuming a lot of you are out of college and have a house/apartment already that isn't a college apartment, so what's that like? Where did you decide to stay?
I'm also curious to see if the college living norms vary from country to country. (Or at least continent to continent). I'm assuming dorms are the standard for freshman everywhere?
@TacoManStan: Go In Brazil college or university students most often than not live with their parents. When studying away from home they live with other family members whenever possible. They also rent apartments, sometimes together with other students. These apartments full of students (sometimes crowded) are called Republics here. Colleges and universities don't have dorms.
I'm still living with my father, simply because scientific/academic career here is fucked up. You can have people with doctor degrees, well past 30 years old, living with their parents because if they didn't they wouldn't even have the money to pay all the bills by themselves.
I live in a large apartment near Sugar Loaf, but only because my father is a doctor. When I move out it will be a serious downgrade for sure, even though he will probably help me with the new place somehow. I may not even be able to live in Rio, or be limited to awful neighborhoods that will force me to go somewhere else anyway.
Wow, that certainly is... different. I mean the apartment I'm in now is certainly a downgrade from the house I lived in before, but it's still a nice place. It's just smaller.
Aside from working on a crap ton of various maps (still have no idea how I can publish them all) and setting up a website for my map "clan", I am currently about to finish up on week 2 of P90x3 workout program. Last year I finished Insanity (round 3) and Im happy to say that I have lost over 40lbs! Breaking bad eating/drinking habits are proving to be more difficult than the actual workouts.
My job requires that I am on call every other week but we've been a man short for about 4 months now, so it's been more like 3 weeks on, 1 week off. Doesn't leave much time for hobbies. But I'm ok with that since I can still manage to squeeze in my workout. In april I am thinking about getting my AAS from local community college but that all depends how much federal aid I qualify for. My job doesn't pay all that well and I have to support 5 other people so money is very tight.
Basketball season started for the kiddo's as well, so fitting in their games also takes up the majority of my free time. Also, I am hopelessly addicted to the "Walking Dead", trying to catch-up on previous seasons with that as well.

Great to be back and part of the community again!
'All 7'?
Doesn't Dr. Who have 26 seasons?
@Mozared: Go
Okay let me rephrase. All 7 of the recent reboot. I consider classic Dr Who an entirely different show.

The more I think about a biologist who studies fish who can't swim the funnier it becomes. That has to have some nasty set backs with your work.

college i go to offer specializations (and minors of course). I'm Computer science with specialization in software engineering and maybe a math minor.
