The USA is going to fight Lybia. I am serous, another "freedom fighter" leader is going to get PWNED. I just heard it on Fox News and parents confirmed it was true.
You heard it on Fox News... And your parents confirmed it... Do your parents watch Fox News? Is that where they got their info from to be able to confirm it? Because even I know how bad Fox News is -.-
Although this time it seems to be correct. I just hope the UK isn't involved ><.

Already involved as well as the rest of the UN.
Anyhow, America is somewhat passive in this conflict. They'll be providing intelligence, from spy planes, satellite pictures etc. and not participate in direct combat.
O alrighty then, I hope the french don't get hurt from this I LOVE THEIR CROISSANTS after all :) Even though SOME French people get mad if you can't speak French.
USA has a weird way of showing their passiveness. They bombed Libya, I think UK also did as well. Personally, I think we need to be in there helping the people but there is a lot of oil at stake. Along with USA being in another war already I don't think we should be spreading so thin. Also if Libya's dictator or whatever he wishes to be called decides to burn the oil that will be less oil for the world causing prices to go up.
Just remembered, USA was being passive by trying to find an alternate solution so the world wouldn't see it as "superpowers"(using it loosely) trying to take oil or just push others around with their "muscle"(again loosely. But today they started bombing which I guess means we're done with peaceful negotiations.
You can't negotiate with crazies lol. I think it's pretty obvious this is a bit different than oddly-motivated past wars.
One wishes to think that America and the West stand up for good morale/ethics and in this case that's what they wish on the rebels of Libya. Not just oil or greed or war-hungry nations. Well, one wishes... cause damn the middle east needs to get a lot of its act together (womens rights, dictators, religions, etc..).
The good news is us Canadians are sending in our entire military might: A plane from the wright-brothers era.
They just come from a different time. It's not like they are villains for not having no women's rights and what not. What I love about America is we support capitalism and we advocate freedom of speech, religion, blah blah blah and we always go to war over it. Cold War, stop communism. What happened to freedom of religion. Capitalism, we won't allow a command economy. Although recently we have. I don't know I just know that America is the biggest hypocrite in the world.

What was said yesterday about this is that French military was about to send troops, after bombing a group of tanks who were heading to "I don't remember which town" where the resistance stands. US military seems to be providing support and logistic (satellite images and such), not taking part directly in the conflict. I didn't know about the missiles from UK and US military, but it must be because the latest news I've seen were 14 hours ago!
ROFL... :D
Next time I'll tell Americans I hope they don't get hurt because I love their donuts... LOL :D
About French people who hate speaking other languages though, I think it's only because the way we are taught other languages is completely lame. I learned English when I was very very young and never opened a book since (I was even sleeping and/or drawing in class)... People who listened to what the teachers had to say were way behind my level... and I think that's why even when I speak to my friends in English they ask me to speak French. They don't understand a word because the way we learn English is wrong in so many ways that it's confusing... And they're lazy, to be completely honest. The funny thing is I probably have learned English better than them thanks to video games, TV series, browsing websites, all in English while they kept watching everything in French whenever they could.
I just know that America is the biggest hypocrite in the world.
Speaking of hypocrites...
Remember who last invited Kadhafi for a formal visit? The French president...
And now who ordered his troops to bomb the Lybian tanks? The French president...
(add a drum roll here for better joke effect) :D
Lybia's situation has to be taken into recent north african/middle east general uproar for it to make more sense.
The french presidents blow nuclear bombs in other people's backyard, so greeting tyrants is peanuts... although there is always quite a ruckus when french presidents greet said tyrants (chinese was the last one to date :( nice one SARKO!) but the majority of people (anywhere) don't give a flying... :(
Recently all the north african and middle east "traditionally muslum" "non republican" (as in not democratic, not what you north american people would read/understand that glorious word) have been in uproar:
the people are deposing their "tyrant heads" one by one asking for democracy. Morocco was the first and IT WORKED! there is actual change in the horizon, a real social uprising !!!
(probably led by women, cause any real societal evolution comes with their impulse, anywhere!)
ohhh and this great step is HUGE...
Libyan people (among many others) are not succeeding as well as Moroccans ... hence the intervention.
(can't say i'm really surprised no one mentioned the context though)
About the croissants... well... france is the only place where you can get decent ones... so no one will ever blow it up :)
About "getting it done asap":
hhha ha ha haha hahahha haha hah haaaaaaaaaaaaa
thanks for the good minute laugh i got outta that "good will towards men / it'll all get better in the end" stance of yours... honest.
Isn't this north american stance always implied? ("good will prevail in the end") ... i'm not even mocking it, i'm just too cynic/tainted myself to be able to think that it will actually happen... so...)
... oh and it's probably much more about oil than it seems...
(as "get/keep resource nodes" has been the only valued angle anytime action has been taken by governments, last time i checked)
i quote:
WAR... whaaaaaaaaat is it gooooo00OOOO00oooood for ?... absolutely nothing!
I could watch NECN or WPRI if it makes you feel better.
America isn't as Democratic as we make ourselves out to be I believe. Also, I don't really care if it's about oil or not. Reasons don't really matter that much when it comes to crazy dictators....
The sad thing is that this'll either turn into another Iraq, or nothing will change. Foreign countries assume they can apply democracy top-down, which means we'll either be stuck there tryin to 'repair' something that isn't quite broken, or simply leave after Khaddafi dies and a new dictator picks up the reigns.

@redmarine: Go

@EternalWraith: Go
I agree, I want it over and done with ASAP.

20 seconds of searching on google and I have this info:
Probably wrong though :P
The real question is why are you watching Fix News?

I am not a fan of war but understand why its necessary, I hope they get in do their job and get out, but 9/10 when does it end up like that :(
As long as there is minimal innocent casualties.
