Once there is campaign mod for dependency, ultralisk's icon is gone. If we remove that campaign story dependency and uses multiplayer balance, the icon is back.
However, when I put void campaign story mode on the dependency, I can still see the Ultralisk in the data table...
It just does not make sense, we clearly can build ultralisks in campaign.....However here there is a problem...
PS: I've just checked the level Reckoning for the HotS, it only uses Swarm campaign story.
However, when I do that, it does not show an unltralisk icon on my menu....
I've set ultralisk to be the wave units. Are there other enable/disable options for that?
PS: I test the dependency settings. And the problem might be with the campaign story mod. Once my map has campaign story mod, the ultralisk is gone. But the blizzard HotS levels have ultralisk icon.
Yes, multiplayer and campaign dependencies don't play well together. If you want to use them together, you'll have to resolve such issues on your own.
Multiplayer dependency is automatically injected to maps set as melee (and that's the root cause of your problem). Add VoidMulti dependency at the end of your current list, and Editor will reflect what's actually happening in game.
I may need to Void Story mod because I need to put Zegarra and Kerrigan and Stukov and Dehaka in it..
I currently use VoidStory(Campaign) and Void (Campaign).
This time Ultralisk icon shows up in the menu. However, after I set the waves and AI personality and run it, AI player still does not build high-tier units like Ultralisk and Aberration. I have a hive and Ultralisk cavern in the map and I set them belongs to that AI player.
I think it might be a tech problem?
Zergs, Banelings, Mutalisks can be built by the AI player.

Hi y'all,
I am having a strange problem.
I'm making a wave defense map now and I'm scripting for zerg's(using player2's slot) waves.
I want zergs build ultralisks in waves. However, due to some problems it cannot be built.
So I switch to the zerg's slot and found this.
Ultralisk is not build-able...(However, other units are available..)
Although I have set the hive, the Ultralisk cavern..
And I have the triggers set up as follows:
AI -Start the campaign AI for player 2
AI -Start AI personalities for all computer players
AI -Run all attack waves for player 2, targeting (Player group(1))
Player -Modify player 2 Vespene: Set To 20000.0
Player -Modify player 2 Minerals: Set To 10000.0
I wonder if my dependency settings go wrong?
Will the swarm void mode kick Ultralisk out?
Did you check the requirement to build ultralisk?
