Comparing the amount of downloads with the amount of feedback one receives. A question comes to my head.
Why the people who download our maps don't speak?
I will give an example: I uploaded my last two maps of my campaign a few weeks ago. And map 13 had errors and map 14 had kinematics cut in half. I think I had about 17 downloads and until today, I repair those errors. Nobody said anything. 17 downloads and no complaints.
Which is the reason?
- Language? - Shame or shyness? - Do not want to subscribe to the page?
Its not very convenient for people to come back here after downloading. Most consumers just want to play, and if it's bad, they go back to their usual routine after murmuring bad thoughts to themselves. Most people just aren't aware that creators want feedback, so they think for 2 seconds that hey this could be improved or hey this sucks, and never go farther than the thought.
This topic has been discussed before, but basically there are many reasons why people don't leave feedback. I think it's better to try to think why people would want to leave constructive feedback.
The player needs to have fun playing the map. People that finish a campaign or map are more likely to leave feedback.
There shouldn't be any obvious game breaking bugs in your map. Why should people leave feedback if you haven't taken the time yourself to test your own map?
They need some sort of connection to the map, whether it be emotional, nostalgia, or something else. Something like Enslavers Redux has gotten a significant amount of feedback. This is likely due to the fact that it is probably well-made (I've only played the first mission so I don't have much to go off of) and that it is a reboot of a campaign that many SC fans have played before. Mass Recall is the prime example of a nostalgia campaign. Something like Perfect Soldiers has gotten quite a bit of feedback as well, which probably has a lot to due with a story that makes the player care about the character.
I think it helps if someone sees their feedback directly impacting future updates. I always like when author's post detailed patch notes. What changed since I played this map? Is it enough to make me want to play it again?
Authors reply directly to constructive feedback. If you post feedback and never get a response, people are less likely to do it again.
Trying to get feedback is not really something you should over-analyze though. It really just comes down to the fact that people in general are lazy.

Stranded on Krydon Renewed- A renewed version of Stranded on Krydon that is being constantly updated, has improved visuals, is more friendly to new players, lots more fun tweaks and much more planned to come.
Sometimes I download something and take a month to play it. Usually I give some feedback when I feel like I have something substantial to say.
(and by substantial, I mean something that people haven't mentioned before. I do comb through the user reviews and thread comments before leaving my feedback)
I think it is that EDHRIANO does not have the nova covert ops, so anything that uses something from the covert ops art mod, does not work properly.

If you don't own either LotV or the Nova DLC and can play your own maps fine, then everyone else should too. Don't not include assets because there's something wrong with one person's installation. If many people are having problems, then there is something wrong, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

In my experience feedback is something you really gotta hand hold people through. All the comments so far are correct about people just not having the "care" threshold met.
In my own campaign, I usually only get feedback if it's extremely positive or extremely negative. (Side point, it's important to consider both sides thoughtfully to improve.) If you're looking for feedback, recruit a beta team before launch. Try to find the meanest people you can. Have them beat your map to death. Then play through it again yourself 5 or 10 more times, iron it out, and repeat the beta process.
I also find that people will give back what you put in. I won't even get started on how many maps and campaigns I've played, on mapster, wc3 and other games, that I'm just amazed at the poor quality. Oftentimes everything seems thrown together, unbalanced and not even proofread. To this day I am so confused how someone can spend months if not years learning an editor tool only to produce such a premature product. So I think a lot of custom campaign players are conditioned to "expecting the worst" and don't consider the mappers dedicated people, so the drive to help them just isn't there.
One last thing I want to add is that people in general are thoughtless consumers. They want whatever they can have for free, no care or consideration about what it costs to get themselves served. Free campaigns, free DLC, free samples, free education, free healthcare, "Bring jobs back to the USA! (so I don't have to learn a skill and create my own)"... people will always look a gift horse in the mouth and never think about the source of the free stuff, they are just happy in their own little world and expect things to be provided for them. They don't want to be a part of the process that gets them what they want. They just want it. In Western culture, we don't think about where our stuff comes from. Think of the food industry - systematized torture and murder, billions of lives per year exterminated because we feel our species is dominant and more important, and we want to eat everything else's carcasses, why, just because we want to. We make fun of vegans as we order another quarter pounder. We buy Nike and Apple products made by sweat shop children, but hey, if I look cool and trendy, who cares. This isn't a sc2mapster problem, it's a human one. What an entitled species we are.
*slaps face* I had a message but i forgot to press the 'post button'

I have a question that I would like to have an answer.
Wrath of the Tal'darim = 5,291 Downloads
StarCraft II: Annihilation Campaign = 17,115 Downloads
Starcraft 2: Time Convergence = 2,992 Downloads
Starcraft: Enslavers Redux = 4,773 Downloads
STARCRAFT: Replicant = 2,134 Downloads

Don't give up on something that you enjoy.
On something that you like.
Make custom campaign because you love starcraft universe and you love to make your own story.
Although I admit getting constructive feedback(s) from those who've played your map(s) are awesome they shouldn't be your main reason.
What deltron said pretty much sums up what I had in mind but he words it better.
Looking forward to see more Custom Campaign from you VastanX [without Nova's DLC dependencies I hope].

I remember that happened with my first map, you wrote me that the mod was not recognized.

I do not even have legacy of the void, R0binicus.
I only use the mods that the editor has. I do not know why it causes EDHRIANO. But I do not have LoTV or Nova DLC
Do you use them?

I can't send any kind of message to EDHRIANO...
