OMG THERE HAS BEEN AN SC2MAPSTER UPDATE *girly squeal*!
What is new?
Links are now blue rather than orange, anything else?

Stranded on Krydon Renewed- A renewed version of Stranded on Krydon that is being constantly updated, has improved visuals, is more friendly to new players, lots more fun tweaks and much more planned to come.
Good to see some changes going on but what about the design of the front page (or obvious lack thereof)... this was clearly thrown together without any care or consideration, when is this going to get fixed?
The headline text is literally a copy and pasted phrase from the Wikipedia article on Starcraft... at least put some thought into the MAIN HEADLINE of the site, this is just blatant laziness and sends the message to new visitors that this is a half-ass project. (To see where the text is plagiarized from, see: http://tinyurl.com/ht5wa2o )
The "For Authors" section is presented so poorly nobody who signs up for the "rewards program" will have any idea how to get points or how it functions. When you click to learn more it takes you to a wall of text ToS agreement, and even there it's so poorly explained that when I read over it twice I still didn't understand. How is this good marketing, or persuasive at all? It just makes the site look spammy, confusing and unprofessional.
No dynamic changing of the top linked map means 3-year-old Mass Recall will literally be there forever. Makes the site seem very stale. Why not give admins the power to choose what goes there, or present an evolving news reel up recent popular projects, like the way it used to be? (Instead the news section is pushed all the way to the bottom of the page, and still cut off for no apparent reason).
All in all it's pretty poor presentation, I highly recommend Curse gets someone who understands UI design or a professional web developer to help on this. Thanks for reading, fingers crossed some work gets done on this.
YOU HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE REWARDS PROGRAM DOES NOT GUARANTY THAT YOU WILL EARN ANY POINTS. CURSE MAKES NO REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY OR GUARANTY THAT YOU WILL RECEIVE ANY POINTS THROUGH YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE REWARDS PROGRAM.

Nothing that bad. I mean if you don't do anything points-worthy, you won't get points. Sounds more like CYA than anything.
CYA = Cover Your Ass. General used for anything where an average situation or person would just wave off circumstances, but that one person who decides to press the issue and costs you a lawsuit. So easier to just provide legal cover when someone who is adversarial tries to take advantage or pushes the limits. Quite a bit of EULAs are this.

This perfectly illustrates the lack of clear explanation of the program Curse felt was important enough to put near the very top of the home page. Clear lack of follow through or critical thought on this one. Seriously, what's the point if nobody has any idea what they're even signing up for???
I dislike the site as much as (most likely more so than) the next guy, but c'mon, don't say stuff like "this was clearly thrown together without any care or consideration." I guarantee you they considered it plenty, they just came to a crappy decision. That happens all the time, but you're not helping anything by insulting the process that you are completely ignorant of, versus the outcome, where there's plenty of room for critique.
I miss the list: of active thread, + when someone posted. ''Threat name + who post, when he/she posted.
-So people who just post, and people that want to help them out dont have to search a specific area of the website.
Make a system: You can see the projects you are interested in at the Home screen. Instead of populair Map/Projects.
(Can change in profile settings)
You get your own: Maps you support their creativity by a thumbs up, and then when their is post something New by the owner in that project you get a Sign. The owners of the projects know then people support his creativity:D
For New people show: the best Supported projects by the current, system thumbs up.
I appear to have found a glitch on sc2 mapster. On the main forum page the 'thread' numbers and 'post' numbers are the same for all of the categories.

Stranded on Krydon Renewed- A renewed version of Stranded on Krydon that is being constantly updated, has improved visuals, is more friendly to new players, lots more fun tweaks and much more planned to come.
One thing I'd like to be adressed is the new images pop up, it's complicated to get the image link. By right clicking you either get links because of "Previous or Next" image buttons and if you are truly in the middle of the image, you can right click and inspect the code and get the image link in the code... A simple "View" button or something that would pop it to another tab with direct link to the image file would be nice.
Real fast update (I just got got back from PAX South and am again so far behind its scary)
Image links - Agreed. I'll see if I can get a ticket in to add a simple "copy link" or similar button to the lightbox image that pops up. Not super high priority, so no promises but I like the idea.
PMs - Still coming. We're handling some transitional stuff in our backend right now that takes priority. Although I can't comment on the work being done, I can tell you that it's certainly priority for both you guys and us. Nothing bad, just upgrades and migrations. The frontend was only half the battle :]
Order of files - change coming soon. We're looking to implement more "community centric" features into our communities to allow more diversity. You guys fought the good fight and we've "won". This is likely going to be rolled into that update.
Post numbers/Thread Numbers - looking into it.
All I can do for now guys - THANKS FOR STAYING POSITIVE!
I think this has more to do with the reader than the document. Just because you're IN the rewards program doesn't mean you're going to earn points.
As with ANY other points program... we're not going to give you free points. If no one downloads your project or you don't upload one at all, you're not going to earn points. We get this all the time "why am I not earning any points" when the user doesn't even have a project. We allow you to join the program without a project so you can earn points right from the get go. It's on you to produce good quality content and advertise it so that you EARN the points.
Earning isn't the same as redeeming. If you have points, you will always get to redeem them. Under no circumstances will you be refused redemption unless there is a legal reason restricting your ability to do so.
Just saying, for me, such point system removes the idea of creating content for the community. I mean, I really feel such system to be inapropriate on a website like this one. It's not about making good content "for points" it's about making good content ''for us''. When saying "it's on you to advertise your content" this means at some point it will do like youtube, facebook or any "up voting system" where the "the most shared content" is not always the "best quality content". So it's not about advertising (and just the idea of having to advertise makes me sick)... because "you" advertised your stuff more than someone else's good content, you might end up with much more reward even though it is not as good, just like false news spreading like powder on social media, its not the most shared news that is necessarly the "true" one. Earning based on advertising your content feels wrong to me. And just the idea of "points" for "content". To me, if someone makes something awesome, it will get known no matter what.
That's just what I'm thinking, I don't mind different opinion, just want to share my point of view, and maybe find that some other people feels the same.

What does C.Y.A mean?

Really, in gaming speak it used to be for "See You All" which was a common departure before bailing/leaving a game.

I've been having problems formatting text when working on the CCI pages. Sometimes it bolds everything when I just want to bold a word.
Changing colors also seem to be finicky.
I use a Mac when I am doing this.

Just drop by to see if the missing PM is back [or not].
Don't want to accidentally step on the wrong toes but if I may ask is there a list of priority of what to do with the new site?
It'd be nice to know how much longer before I can download all the *.m3 files from my PM.

Hi,
After about a good month of having the new site, there is a small thing that is really bugging me right now.
I think the default setting upon loading any new page it should list in the order of "Latest Updated"
Everytime I come here it always lists the same order and its completely invisible if and what changed, is new.
Yes I know, there a button... but still.. it should be a default setting.
