Reasons? who the hell cares, right now I am really pissed off, which is not something that clouds my judgement but it is, however, something that gives me the motivation to do what I've been thinking about doing for a while.
Most of you people probably never knew me, and now probably never will. I was the art guy. I never made maps, I just did tests, experiments, particulary ones related to graphics that, and occasionally, I'd kill a spambot or two since I was almost always online.
I do not intend to just leave sc2mapster, I plan on leaving sc2 and diablo altogether. Hell, I haven't even played diablo ever since it came out and even then I only played for like 2 weeks. Complete waste of money. And I've come to realise that gaming altogether, although it has helped me in so many ways, it has also affected me in other parts. So with the objective of changing those things, hopefully it is not too late, I hereby present my resignation, publicly.
I request my moderation powers and account to be terminated immediately and quite honestly, more than a recommendation it's a suggestion and an advice as I have left sites before and it did not go well for them to leave my account active WITH moderation powers. Which is funny because I already know this is not going to happen as I have been trying to get a fucking little announcement edit power that SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN A SIMPLE FEW CLICKS AWAY OTHERWISE YOUR FORUM SOFTWARE SUCKS.
So, yeah, sorry guys, I tried, I really really tried to help a lot of you with your problems, I have more than a few times offered my services as help for free, which I do as a living, and I have done no more than disappoint a lot of people by not filling their needs. I really really tried to help a lot but it's just not possible anymore. An unmotivated community doesn't help either.
I have however made friends here, you can still talk to me on skype or msn or even facebook if you for some reason have got me there, and if you ask me for help I will probably say yes so there's that.
Good bye, I've had a nice run ever since 2001 when I started doing retarded bounds and became a staredit.net member. All the way through become a master modder of SC1, one of the few people that cared for the dying modding community of SC1 and basically revived it to it's 2nd golden era (right after camsys) with our Clan [MM]. And finishing with so little stuff in SC2 but not easy, though, I did many many things before we even had an editor to work with, back in the WoL Beta, I remember that, Sixen, I will be foreever thankful for that CDKey which allowed me to keep up with my name of corbo doing things before everybody could.
Now, I would close this but I figured I'd have a little fun at reading whatever crap people post in here.
Good Bye guys, have fun, I really hope none of you live what I am going through right now.
TL;DR, if you didn't want to read it fuck you, but basically it's a rant on me quitting bye.
I don't really know how you are expecting people to react to this, but all I get from that read is that I find it sad that you have to leave in such a way.
Anywho, Best of luck Corbo, the areas of the community you have been a part of have been lucky to have you and I'm sure you will be missed

Hey now, Bounds weren't retarded, they were awesome, and still my favorite map genre, :D.

Well, I guess I didn't know you too well but I've always seen you around and I know you are a pretty big help to people around here myself included. If you've got personal things to take care of I think you are doing the right thing taking a step back and letting this stuff go for a while and I hope someday (maybe if mapping ever picks up) you'll be back. I wish you the best out there wherever you find yourself.
Well Sorry to see you go. I guess this attributes to what dogmai has said a few blocked post ago too though that there were too many moderators for this site atm, Yo sixen, Normally I would throw my own name in for mod, but dont put any new moderators up :P we still got plenty. haha
Well Corbo imma miss your tutorials. well hope to see you around.

I do!
What parts adn how?!
Oh man, the most essential and interesting things passed over in silence...
Please, make it dramatic, be honest and sincere, describe the details, reveal the core, the source of your decision. I would appreciate it. But it's ok if you won't.

Didn't know you much besides some of your work on here, but totally understand where you coming from with the screw gaming statement. Had similar thoughts about Everquest like a year ago. Played that off and on since 1999. I think it is an admirable thing to stop gaming awhile, put your priorities in place, etceteras. I hope it works out and leaves you in a better place than you are in right now.
Just try to remember, all things in moderation, don't be too shocked if you find yourself wanting to game a little/lot in the process. Is nothing wrong w/ gaming in itself, but can suck the life right out of you if you let it. My solution ended up being make my own RPG to keep myself from wasting time playing them, to instead learn how to develop more, wonder what yours will be.
I fucking quit.

Wow, this is definitely surprising news to hear.
Well I just want to say that you've been a great asset to the community. I definitely appreciate the help you've provided. Take care, Corbo.

Can I get your hat when you are gone?. Just the hat.
I do!

Thanks that you quit without randomly banning people before with your mod powers this time.
I'm always open to help you improving your German, if I can. :)
Good luck whatever you do now with your spare time...

I've no idea what's going on. I guess you're mad about something, Corbo?
Not entirely sure what to say here :(
Was fun and nice having you here, good luck with whatever you do next :)
Don't forget to take EW with you on the way out.
We are getting fewer day by day. (I thought end of summer would change that)
