Can anyone attest to the performance on SC2 on the most expensive version with all possible hardware options maxed (8gb ram, i7-2620m CPU, NVS 4200m dedicated graphics)? The video card looks pretty terrible, and is even worse than the card in last year's VAIO Z. But it has better everything else.
I mainly focus on using the editor, and will use my desktop for actual playing.
Also, does anyone know how it compares to the performance of last year's VAIO Z?
Lastly, does anyone know a similar ultra-portable laptop (max 4 pounds, 14 in, and 16:9 aspect ratio) that can run this game better? I looked at the 11 in Alienware, which has a significantly better video card, but apparently weighs more than the larger t420s, and has a terrible CPU.
The newly announced iteration of the VAIO Z is completely worthless given it does not have a dedicated GPU.
One last thing: I do CUDA programming, so it has to have an NVIDIA card capable of running CUDA programs.
My price limit is $5000 (USD).
