It seems patch 1.5 made some changes to the old Unit Duplicate feature.
I never use this feature, but I belive it could be useful for new editor learners.
I not sure how things goes in EU/US map make communtiy, but in china, new editor learners always tend to check all linked objects when they are trying to use Duplicate feature to duplicate unit(they think the linked objects are all properties which belong to the unit, so they think they should copy them all).
- of course, before 1.5 they would always get a "terrible sphere" ;) becuase they also checked the "model" entries linked to the unit. In general, the model path are based on the model entry ID: "Assets\parents\Race\id\id.m3". So if you duplicate the model entires, it would result in the model data point to a wrong path, for example, "Assets\Units\Protoss\Zealot\Zealot.m3" -> "Assets\Units\Protoss\Zealot2\Zealot2.m3". it doen't not exist, so they would alway get a sphere.
And in 1.5, the rule of the model duplication has been changed. and the new model data would retain the model path of the orginal model data."Assets\Units\Protoss\Zealot\Zealot.m3" -> "Assets\Units\Protoss\Zealot\Zealot.m3". So if the user just check all objects, it will rarely made the new unit become a sphere.
Of course, the Unit Duplicate feature still isn't a prefect way to make your new unit. But with this change, the feature could be a life-saver to the new editor learners I think~
PS: Actually, before this fix, many editor novices in CN "ragequited" when they found they cannot make any progress in creating new units. Just not sure if it is also true in EU/US?
In this case I think it would be a very good improvement.
@Renee2islga: Go In EU/US they spam Mapster with their noob questions ;-)
But yeah, that's an improvement. I'm a lazy mapper I always duplicate something instead of making everything from scratch, but I never duplicate everything at once like that.

were gonna see a shitload of duplicated data.
This was a pretty common issue among novice map editors in the US/EU too.
