Guys did you saw freaking SLAYN environment (tal darim world)? It is so cool, it feels like mix of Fantasy and Sci-fi themes. It reminds me like daedras from oblivion somehow )). Besides dev mentioned that Artanis will throw some leader of tal darims in that sacrificial pit, i imagine that they took inspiration from "This is Sparta!" scene lol ;)
Now that was one I liked the least. Will sound more of an arcade design, like the Hyperion level in HotS.
At least Blizzard announced, beforehand, Protoss will have a Primal Zerg race of their own. And at least a bit of the lore for this sub-race makes sense, we can relate it to the Xel'Naga and before the Aeon of Strife...

Btw is that moving terrain? o.O *takes mental note to look into that level's triggers* Can't wait to make a map with tetris-style terrain!
Launch missile effect can launch units. Use it to launch everything on that platform to another part of the map. Use invisible fake structures with a huge footprint to make an area unpathable/pathable at the correct time. Make the doodad platform thing a unit and launch it, too. Easy?!
(Just tested it in the editor, it is indeed very easy to create. Btw, you don't have to launch it vertically and hroizontally... if you start and land on the middle of a tile, it will be fine for every kind of movement)
Coming up with the idea for that is actually the difficult part.
Restrictions:
- no unit movement on the platform during platform movement
- the finish of training units is cancelled
- construction orders and queued orders should be cancelled... e.g. like a structure-warpin order of a probe, else it breaks or runs around the map, etc...
In this screenshot we can see the nerazim version of the zealot (centurion). Check the unit and the portrait with covered face. The "shadow charge" icon is bluish, so they most probably become cloaked during charge, if that's all about it spinning zealot will be better.
And in this one it seems they used my colored version of zeratul's blink (recall in the fourth column), just saying.
Be sure to check out the extension mod: Hots Custom Map support on NA and EU, Despite the name it greatly expands the roster of options for the default 3 races and is updated all the way to NCO.
I hope we will get a cinematic model of all the important Protoss units. That hologram protoss upgrade thing better be work in progress (unless we get the cinematic models elsewhere, then it doesnt matter I suppose).
I recommend you watch this one, paying special attention at the beginning. If a professional is already hard pressed like that, the bronze just GGs it automatically.
Multiplayer info just in case anyone is interested. I thought the Hellbat was a complete nonsense, but this new Herc unit may be even worse. Light unit with 160 life and 1 armor that looks heavier but actually runs faster than all other infantry units, 1 range but is supposed to counter deathballs. Simply saying WTF can't express my impression about it.
Given that it has a harpoon that draws it to an enemy unit, My guess is that its main function is to act more or less as a barrier to enemy forces, allowing the rest of the terran army to attack from their preferred distance.
As for Archon mode, it reminds me of the mod micro/macro in the arcade.
Must be Valerian's borrows from WoL.
More of a sub-race, I think, just a few units and structures...

Wow...the finals for multiplayer is hugely packed!! So cool...feels like Starcraft is going to have some momentum this year with LoTV and epsorts.
