I would love to do it, if i will have that client :D
I am curious about Kerrigan, it just pop out on my mind because following the Sylvanas adventure i see a lot of "already seen" quotes by Sylvanas, like "i feel strangely good on da killing modafffakas"... I hope that Kerrigan will not turn into evil again, maybe she will be possessed by hybrids (no hentai assumptions).
Other character i want to see is Dehaka, he will ever evolve? He will ever regain the arm lost?
I still want "12 textures" for my terrain and more ping point on my symmetry for wayyyyyyyy better symmetry and new textures. I also want more space on my account. This chat is like making a christmas wish list that we know we will not get but are fooling ours self with.
StarCraft still have a 3rd chance with LotV - if it would ever release, of course.
But I have to admit, I dreamed on what Funky said.
Let's be honest... StarCraft doesn't have a chance for various reasons:
Multiplayer: The incompetence of David Kim was proved again and again on these 4 years, he never listened feedback critical from the beta to now... Like deincentives on Micros, deathballs, micro-killer delays on a lot of units like the viking... Let's not talk about the promises he did...
I hope that on desperation he will follow the STARBOW and SC1 way (This could save the game and give to it a little come back on E-Sports ), but his brain is not so big...
Singleplayer: Metzen's little writing "skills" died with the start of WoW... From dark cool (that now he calls shit) he is throwing to us shitty Holliwood/Anime stories... Predictable and full of retcons/nonsenses ( i hate the fact that on WoW is all "Hahaha i will win... How de fuq i died?? GOOD WINS team rocket loses ). WoL story was good, but HotS (A game that was rushed and cutted) story was pure shit... That story doesn't have anything with the zerg race, if i am playing zerg i must be the Evil guy... My hopes are really low...
E-Sport: Let's say it, even if SC2 was good like sc1, we would be on the same situation of: 2010- 1st half 2012 success => death
RTS genre is pratically dead and DOTA clones dominates the E-Sports, full of people that say "Hurr I control 1 hero and i spam 5 hotkeys durr, i am so pro baderberp" (and the things that you have to know and the multitasking required are nothing compared to the starcraft/unreal tournament/quake/counter strike ones)... We all know that now E-Sport doesn't follow "skilled" games but only moneygrabber games... I am so sad about that slutty E-Sport ...
SC2 is not totally dead on E-Sports but it's nothing compared to the top viewed scum games (Hearthstone is excluded, i save it and i will save Heroes on E-Sports only because i am a Blizzard Fan Boy and because they are not super sad WC3 clones)
I still wanna know what the hell they've been planning to do with those Warcraft 3 Orc heroes that they showed last Blizzcon. Are they planning to do anything with WC3 HD Remake or not? Even Blizzard China reps mentioned them planning something, but we've heard nothing...
As for LOTV, all I care about is seeing the story (even if their story for HOTS was terrible). An end to the trilogy would be something to look forward to. I'd be more excited to see new units, but considering how little-used the HOTS ones are in multiplayer, it's best for them to just develop for singleplayer and continue whatever fine-tune balance they have right now.

Every game can be considered as a dead game before you release it, and will be a dead game if you never do some fix on it.
You have vaild points, but still they are not the core. You talked about the campaign and the e-sport, but the two cannot be called as THE failure of SC2. Isn't SC2 the only e-sport RTS game today? Not enough players are playing SC2, yes (And actually there are still a number of players in China that are playing it). But that's because it's e-sport and it's campaign writing?
Turns out they fixed Diablo 3 in an large degree, and it has nothing to do with e-sport or 'cool story'.
Plus, if LotV would never happen, then Blizzard can never move on. It's not like 'Oh, it sucks, let's throw it away and pretend it never exist'. If Blizzard want to do it, they would have already done it on Diablo 3 before they do it on SC2. LotV is a promise Blizzard made to the players, without LotV, there can be no WC4, or SC3, or any more blizzard RTS game, or any more Blizzard user editors, and the whole custom game scene would disappear.
I'm not saying LotV 'will surely successful'. It's just not without hope/chance to be fixed. And it is still worthy for blizzard to try to fix it.
I think they should offer the expansions as stand alones. Just have it so they only allow you to play the campaign that they are associated to. By not doing this, they are limiting their potential customer base whenever a new expansion comes out. And now that the arcade and several other areas are already free, I don't see a reason why not to do this.

Maybe because so the Expansion pack will not have Godzillion GB space needed to be installed...
I see what happen with standalone expansions... Like on the "First Light" DLC-Expansion standalone... 40 GB for a shitty expansion for a crappy game like Infamous
And anyway how you can enjoy the story without having the first chapters
1. Is not most of that covered in the free version of the arcade? And as for people with cruddy internet, is there not a way for a CD (technically DVD or w/e) to see what's already installed on your computer, and decide how much it needs to install?
2. Wikis, summaries, etc. Also, if you're more interested in just playing the missions and not so much the story, there are people like that too.
Maybe if we ask Blizzard without attacking them, and showing them why it would be best to have what we suggest delivered, then maybe we have a chance.
Right reasons, right way. It could work, if things sound reasonable enough.
edit:
Oh, yeah, through the proper channels. I think posting on the official forums would be best.
Bwahahaha... that didn't work in 2010 and others tried in 2011, 2012, 2013 and by 2014 every one gave up. Go ahead and try though, you might get a courtesy blue post but nothing will be done. SC2 was written off years ago.
Perhaps we can compile a list and hopefully those who go can show a united front and ask?
Oh yeah, I can imagine:
"Get your fucking hands from my microphone!", said the fat angry mapmaker to the scared and confused minion after 3rd question in a row, "See this? It's the list of questions I'm obliged to ask! The whole community relies on me. And you! Fuckers on the stage! You better answer straight, we waited too long to finally confront you in a hard talk!"
Or in a private talk in a backstage:
"Say! Say that "soon" bullshit again, motherfucker! Say it again!" (nervously pointing a gun in pissed blizz empoyee' face)
This, would love to use all those delicious new features in HotStorm. Though, I wonder if a shared arcade would mean SC2 and HotS assets would be merged, or if players would need to download both SC2 and HotS to be able to play all Arcade maps.
I'm also looking forward to seeing the new units too, most interested in the campaign ones (like what merc/variants normal units will be getting :D), but doubt they'll show any of those.
@StealthToast: Go They will show one super different unit that will never make it to the final campaign, like that infested bunker, and of course they won't include all finished assets they have for it, because why would they?
Be sure to check out the extension mod: Hots Custom Map support on NA and EU, Despite the name it greatly expands the roster of options for the default 3 races and is updated all the way to NCO.
Especially if we start creating unit, structure, spells, missiles, doodads, assets for the UED, Hybrids, Xel'Naga, including environment assets, textures, cinematic...

For those that are going and can stand and talk we have a chance to have things said on our behalf.
I have a question in my head that I long thought needed asking, but what questions do you guys have?
Perhaps we can compile a list and hopefully those who go can show a united front and ask?

I never thought of it like that but in all honesty it is probably the most likely outcome -_-
"Say 'map marketplace' again. Say 'map marketplace' again, I dare you... I double dare you motherfucker, say 'map marketplace' one more goddamn time!"

Let's make LotV ourselves. Maybe we'll finish before Blizzard.

Kueken alredy tried that about 1.5 years ago. He even had a team of mapamakers who volunteered to participate. And guess what happened then.
Well, I was joking. :p
It takes me about 3/4 of a year to create a ten-mission campaign, so I doubt it would be feasible.
