I've remade the whole thing over to iron out little details and polish up the graphics. I'm slowly turning it into a class based arena. The classes will be very simple; offensive, defensive and support. Each class will have 10 spells, quality ones with high amounts of work put into each to ensure they are skillful and useful. As a future aspiration, I'll add more spells and let you switch in/out your current spell pool for others related to your class so that you may customise your caster.
On the customisation front, you begin with the Spirit element (white/blue). Similar to Team Fortress unlocks, you can earn different elements to play with (right now, Earth, Fire, Lightning and Void). The element you pick will change the graphic of all your offensive spells to match that element, and change their function slightly. The elements are 90% cosmetic and 10% functional, they are sidegrades meant to appeal to different playstyles, not upgrades.
The map will have 2 modes, with systems in place to make adding more modes easy. They will simply be a PvE mode where you fight bosses, and a PvP deathmatch mode where you're placed in a confined space with a bunch of other angry mages. I plan to add a more traditional DotA style mode too after bugs are ironed out.
I tested the PvE version of the map online. People spent 15 minutes killing eachother. It was glorious.
looks like your "beam" is just a line of missiles.... if yes make a real ray out of it! this will make it faster
