Opheilm is one of the young Dark Templars that was with Zeratul when the latter first met with Tassadar. Initially not trusting the Khalai Protoss, Opheilm was against Zeratul aiding Tassadar as he carries a huge resentment against the Conclave. After witnessing Tassadar's devotion to the future of the Protoss, and his views about both light and dark, Opheilm gradually grew to respect Tassadar as a great leader and as someone who is able to bring the gap between the 2 sides. However, this all changed when Aldaris made the announcement that Tassadar was a traitor and has no longer any say in the Conclave.
Resentment against the Conclave began to fill Opheilm again as he believes that the Conclave were stuck on old ideals that will just lead to their downfall. Regardless, he still greatly respects Tassadar as an individual and continues to serve him. His experiences with Tassadar, Raynor and Fenix has convinced him that both of their races can work together for the greater good.
However, everything changed for him when during the final battle of the overmind, whereby, Tassadar sacrificed himself to destroy the overmind. Not understanding fully why Tassadar would willingly sacrifice himself for these foolish Protoss, Opheilm's resentment for the Conslave grew into hatred as he believes that it shouldn't have been Tassadar that died that day.
Background - Brood War
While aiding the Protoss in the escape to Shakuras, before the Warp Gate was shut down, Opheilm was knocked unconscious by the Zerg, not before managing to kill his attacker. When he woke up, he found himself at Shakuras, battered and injured. While the Dark Templar and protoss refugees were assaulting the Zerg on Shakuras, Opheilm chose to run away from it all. Disillusioned and weary from conflict, he boarded his shuttle and went into cold sleep, drifting into the sea of stars...
Unknown to him, while drifting aimlessly, his shuttle has been sucked into a random wormhole that connects the Koprulu sector to the Eurim sector. Opheilm just continued to be in cold sleep, as though this is what he wants.
Centuries after WoL
The shuttle continued drifting until it was too close to the Planet Khasan and was sucked into it due to its gravitional pull and in part, the poor maintenance of the shuttle. This woke Opheilm up from his slumber. Realizing that he was surrounded by a megalopolis of Protoss settlements, he went ahead and made contact with them, and since he was a Dark Templar, he was given a scouting position in the army. He soon came to understand that The Ancestral Imperium of Protoss is exactly the same as the Protoss Conclave led by the Khalai. This brought back up painful memories and once again, stirred up ambivalent feelings of hatred and loss within him.
It was then he met the Praetor Erana whom reminded him very much of Tassadar. It was through Erana that he managed to find a source of peace in this sector hostile to him just because of his caste. He found Erana's views of racial segregation and the Dark Templar to be very similiar to Tassadar and vowed his alligence to Erana - the same way that Zeratul had once sworn to help Tassadar. Since then, Opheilm has been acting as a slient guardian to Erana, overseeing everything that goes around Erana.
Not too long later, the Zerg invaded and Opheilm proved himself as a Master scout during the war, the battles and experiences that he faced during his time at the Koprulu sector gave him much exposure to the Zerg and their tactics. His timely and accurate reports saved the lives of countless of Protoss and even at times, allowed them to turn the tide of battle, earning him the nickname "Shadow"
Despite his efforts, the overwhelming concentrated numbers of the Zerg still proved to be too formidable against the divided unity of the Protoss. It was then that Praetor Erana managed to get all the different tribes of Protoss and even the Terrans to work together against their common enemy. This brought back memories of the alliance between Zeratul, Tassadar and Raynor. In Praetor Erana, Opheilm saw Tassadar. He envisioned himself as Zeratul and the Terran as Raynor's Raiders. Except that this time, "Tassadar" didn't die after the war.
After the Battle Of Arken
Despite being a Dark Templar, Opheilm was given the rank of Praetor after the war for his heroic exploits. However, on the day where he was awarded Praetor, The Imperium arrested Erana and stripped the rank of Praetor away from Erana. It dawned on him that he was awarded Praetor to fill in the gap in the conclave that Erana once held.
Opheilm realized that being a Praetor, he would have a say regarding racial segregation and other conservative laws that the regime has and he would be able to carry on Erana's views, but he may very well lose a close friend whom he sworn to protect. Against his better judgement, he chose to stay on as a Praetor. Despite being made Praetor and openly voicing out his views, the Imperium's disdain and ostracize against Dark Templar and the Nerazim hasn't changed and slowly, he became disillusioned again. It was at this time he thought of what Zeratul would have done, and he fell to his knees in remorse and mortification.
During this time, he left his Praetor position and joined Erana's Order, for a chance of redemption. There, he found the solace that he needed and has always dreamed of. There wasn't any Racial Segregation, both light and dark fought for the same cause. Although he initial faced some disapproval from members as he chose to become a Praetor instead of rescuing Erana that day, his abilities and judgement has earned the respect of everyone in the order. His sole motivation for going on now is Erana, whom he sees as a figure of Tassadar. He has since taken on a new oath, and vowed Erana will not die while he is still holds breath.
Opheilm likes to work alone or work with a selected few people that he trusts. Years of resentment and hatred has taken a toll on his mental state, leading him to be cynical towards others. Although it takes long to earn Opheilm's trust, once its earned, it will not be broken easily. After the events of Tassadar, He disdains taking away the life of both Protoss and Terran, as he has witnessed the mutual cooperation between both sides, however that does not go for Zerg. He fights the Zerg with a fevour unlike any other, and will stop at nothing to kill these abominations.

My apologies for not getting a character up in time to start (finals are a pain), but i have to ask one more question: can I make a hero as two characters? I had the idea for a brother/sister duo, and they would share identical stats, but for the story they would be seperate. Is that doable?
You can have as many heroes as you like. But you'll have to pay for each of them. (So if you want to have two heroes with identical stats, and the cost for those stats was 100 points, you'd need to pay 200 points to get both heroes)
If you mean having 2 people be 1 single unit, like Mortar Teams and Goblin Sappers in Wc3, I'm not so sure about that... I'd definitely prefer it being two separate heroes, possibly have abilities that complement each other in some way. Of course, if they were piloting some sort of vehicle together, having them count as a single unit would be no problem.
Ok, seeing as nothing has happened today, I'd like to point this out:
Your posts do not need to include any "relevant" actions to count as a proper post. In other words, you can post anything that involves your characters - flashbacks, conversations with your crew, anything. We like to call these "filler posts", we made them all the time on the old forum cause it was a lot less active so travel time was harder to get through. While they don't really include any actions relevant to any plot, they can be interesting and let the others know more about your characters ;)
Eh. I really just lost all of my ambition to flesh out a new plot point creatively given my current situation. I had a relatively good post lined up, but was rejected. Follow this up with my avid refusal to flesh out something sub-par, and i'm really just in this spiral of repetition and self-pity.
Once I can think of something that could either A: work with my situation or B: get out of my current situation; I'm sure I'll go back to posting. Either way it will be in about a month because of my upcoming Euro-trip. Originally I had it planned to flesh out most of my story before the trip and see a nice repercussion once I got back, but all well.
Name: Runa "Siege Breaker"
Faction: The Magma Brood
Race: Zerg (Infested Terran)
Affiliation: The Gracken Brood
Runa, despite being an infested Terran are quite different then her appearance, and actions on the battlefield might assume from the brutal and efficient way she goes about with her missions, the truth is that even after her infestation some unknown time ago by the Magma Broods former leader a Cerebrate known as Shuul, the exact details of how Shuul met it’s end are unknown, but rumors among the older members of Runas’ Brood all agree that their new leader played more than a small part in the cerebrates demise, she has retained her somewhat jolly and easy going nature while also enhancing the specialty from before she was infested, namely sabotage.
Only a select few of Runas’ most trusted generals know that Runa and Shuul actually had a deal going on long before Runa was actually Infested and that Shuuls death and Runas’ ascension to lead the brood had been agreed long before the Cerebrates demise.
Runa and Shuuls’ brood had by chance met while attempting to sabotage the same Protoss facility, and Runas low level psionic ability ended up saving her life that day, being a Linguapath, able to understand just about any language after just a few seconds, she managed to broker a deal with Shuul, simply because they both was after the same thing, destroying the base, the fact that that Shuul hated Protoss more than Terrans helped out as well, this deal slowly developed into respect then something akin to an extremely unlikely friendship between the two over several years of encounters.
It was this friendship that caused Runas eventual infestation as during a classified mission Runa was exposed to an experimental virus that was slowly killing her, and with no cure apparent from her employers, who viewed her as disposable, she turned to the only one she knew could help her, Shuul hardly needed any convincing and within a day she had been added to the brood, over the next few decades the relationship between Shuul and Runa remained good and Shuuls trust in his new lieutenant, who he had left almost completely untouched mentally as a sign of his appreciation of her company, grew steadily.
That trust also ended up saving Runas life, as she was away on an important mission when the Fenris Brood for one reason or another attacked the Magma Broods home world and destroyed Shuul, in the ensuing psionic backlash of the brood Runa did the one thing she had been trained to do take control of the situation, and in the span of just a few days Runa was in complete control of the survivors from the assault.
Without anywhere else to go Runa went to the Cerebrate Draal to seek aid, Shuul had introduced Runa to its close ally Draal long before as Shuul and Draal where allies and had a rather good relationship with one another simply because their fighting styles complemented one another and they generally had the same outlook on things, although Shuul viewed Draal more as a mentor and teacher than a superior, an outlook Runa came to share over the years, in battle Shuul would sabotage key structures within a stronghold or kill of key personnel, weakening the defenses while Draals powerful siege units would hammer their walls and destroy their armies with the overwhelming strength of his siege units, a beneficial relationship they both had profited from.

@ Game: The Nirogg leviathans were actually a bit further out, and will take 4 turns to get into position. Otherwise Moz is all set.
@ Luna: I was wondering how long it would take you to join our merry band. Your character has my approval as edited, I hope that we can keep the characterization you did of Draal in your initial posts.
Well, just when I get my school stuff wrapped up my computer decides to up and die. I don't know how long it will take to fix, but until that time I will be suspiciously absent. Send me a pm if you need me, I will attempt to check in regularly, but I give no promises. Have fun storming the castle!
It definitely would, mostly because there's so many different factions to play as :p Now find someone who wants to make such a bigass campaign...
Srsly, if anyone wants to do anything with the EoP stuff (Whether it's an actual campaign or just a melee mod or whatever), just say so and do it :p (Would probably have to talk to the owners/players of the characters you're making for details)
Sorry guys, but I am pulling out from the RP due to new RL commitments coming up and I probably won't have time to do this or even mapping...
I'll pass control of my character over to Vjetar since he's in charge of the Protoss.
Hey, just to point this out, as it's obvious I didn't spend much time on the SoA (I just couldn't be bothered to, Wind and I wrote that post over the course of 3-4 days, I just wanted to get it over with) and I don't want to ninja-edit it into the post: Unless stated otherwise by their owners, all forces are heading back to wherever they want to head after the battle. Right now I'm guessing that the breakout team is heading for Dras Lana. If anyone (well, Zanryu and Wind) have any other destinations, say so. This practically means that travel time has been started with my last post for everyone involved in the battle that wants to travel somewhere.
Some Patch notes, though I will probably be doing this again as soon as Beta hits.

To accommodate these changes, I added the Overseer to all my armies that were relying on the Viper for detection. Have a good day!
Edit: All that hard work at formatting, and the thing gets jumbled together. Oh well, if the good doctor needs help deciphering it, he can give me a call.
Orloth pointed out this section of the forum to me and suggested that I join up. I have a somewhat interesting idea for a character in that I want to focus on a small group of individuals instead of making a powerful figure in one of the factions. I have opted to not have an army, and I know how difficult this will make things for me, but that will just make it more fun to try and survive :-D).
I was briefly involved in Tremors of War (I think my username was Morelyn o.O) near the end of it's run but had to drop out because my computer fried. D-:
Below is the character(s) that I have come up with. David and Leo will be the only ones to start with, but the others will follow in the first couple of posts as the crew of Gambit is formed.
Peruse and critique at your leisure,
The transport ship Gambit, captained by David Kanaro, has a murky history. Only recently acquired by David from the small-time pirate Krag the Bloody, it is sorely in need of repairs. Outfitted to one day be a prime smuggling ship with superior maneuverability and speed, as well as decent cargo and smuggling space for a ship of its size, right now it is little better than a heap of scraps.
Before acquiring his new ship, Gambit, David was a low-level enforcer for the pirate Krag the Bloody. He and his partner, Leonardo Damoran, bought their employment contracts and bartered a deal to get their own ship. It was their goal to set out as independent traders and smugglers, but upon acquiring Gambit in a sorry state, they have been forced to work menial or small-time jobs on Domus while they get the ship back to operational and reliable status.
DPS 20(+30 v. heavy)
Damage 30(+45 v. heavy)
Penetrater Rounds – deals x2 weapon damage in line 1 unit wide x 9 units long (10 sec. cooldown)
Total Cost 53
Leonardo Damoran (Leo)
Leonardo Damoran (Leo, except to authorities) is a hardened ex-convict. Always ready to fight, and often preferring to, he is the bullet to David's gun. Not terribly bright in anything except how to tear apart the enemy, Leo is fiercely loyal to David since they became assigned partners under the pirate Krag. Though he is older than David, he defers to the younger man, as he is smart enough to know what he doesn't know. But he often grumbles about his captain's decisions, not seeing the point in restraining himself.
DPS 10(+30 v. light)
Damage 5(+15 v. light)
Concussive Shells – as marauder
Total Cost 53
Dr. Jonathan Rark
To be introduced to David and Leo shortly, Dr. Jonathan Rark is a retired Terran military research scientist. After his retirement he decided to fill in the gaps in his expansive knowledge by traveling through the galaxies among the different species and learning all he could.
Selfix Armor – Medic's armor rapidly heals him for 9 health/sec and 15 energy/sec when out of combat. Healing or taking damage counts as being combat.
Total Cost 25
Po'Nath is another character that will be introduced as part of the crew of Gambit shortly. He is a secretive protoss high templar on the run from his own people for being a heretic.
the rest of his story to be filled in as the story progresses (GM cue to screw with him and his story as you see fit)
Shield Regen 2/sec
Energy Regen .5625/sec
Psionic Storm – as high templar
Feedback – as high templar
Total Cost 35
Casey Yaff is an escaped Terran experiment. Though she appears to be human, she actually has some zerg genes spliced in with her human compliment. She was to be liquidated as a 'failed' sample, and instead managed to escape.
Cue GM interference, zerg or Terran.
DPS 6.667 (+6.667 v. light)
Damage 10 (+10 v. light)
Snipe – one shot dealing 45 dam
Personal Cloaking – as terran ghost
Total Cost 34
Jerry “Puck” Pockin, will be introduced to be the pilot for Gambit.
I have plans to eventually spend points to make him an actual character, but for now he is just a crack pilot and a civilian.
Haley Morgan is the engineer for Gambit. She is another character that will be introduced later.
I have plans to eventually spend points to get her a souped up SCV, but for now she is just a civilian member of the crew.
Hey there :) The name Morelyn sounds familiar, but ToW was so long ago... lol
I'll look over your character set up in more detail tomorrow and discuss it with the other GMs. You seem to have left out point total the ship and your overall point total. If you've got the time, please add them to make sure you're under 300 (I'll double check tomorrow one way or another). It's 2:40 AM right now, so yeah, I shouldn't really be up anyway.
