Yes, Traysent indicated during an Arcade Night that they would like to do so. I'm of the belief this is preparation for Heroes of the Storm custom maps, with regular contests and the winner being added to the official rotation.

That would be pretty fucking awesome, if you'll pardon my language!
Note for those who don't like 5 maps enough to pick 5 out of that list, you can pick just 1-4 as well. I went the 1 route, good luck Rogue Star.
GFY other entries.
I think this should be emphasized. Letting everyone pick anywhere from 1 to 5 maps to vote for is a fairly good thing, since feels far more fair/democratic then 1 vote per person.

Yes it would be. Currently custom games are not enabled on the Storm alpha. I imagine they first need to complete the transistion to their new archive format for all their games, then make sure all backend infrastructure is in order, then merge the editor codebases, then we see custom maps + updated editor in a storm beta patch. So probably a while.
Good luck to all participants. Everyone worked hard on their entries and thus made the Arcade better for the players. That's what it's all about.
I'm curious as to why Blizzard did not make an in-game button, announcement, or an indication of any sort to the contest. Since most SC2 players do not visit B.net, Blizzard is losing a lot of exposure to this contest by not having an in-game advertisement.
This list is rly good. Glad that they choosed by taking into account polishment and gameplay fun factor instead of complexity for the creator. I think i like Hover most. Rly strong and fairly simple map.

Yeah, Blizzard has proven it isnt too smart when it comes to SC2.

The. Pressure. Is. Too. Much.
Super disappointing 'top 10'.
Super. Disappointing.
Rock the Cabinet with shallow simplistic rehashes of existing IP.

And the finalists are revealed, grats to those that made it in! :D
Edit: And of course there's no special button/category in the Arcade for the top 10. Welp, better get alttabbing. :P
@StealthToast: Go
Gratz to all those who entered the top 10. I knew I lost, since I only worked on mine for 4 weeks, was very busy :P
Hurray I'm in there. Good luck again to everyone.
Obviously I recommend you give Unreal Arena a test :)
Nice list! I think I'll put my money on Star Party winning.
Have Blizzard hinted that there may be more contests?

Good luck to everyone who made it!
Congrats to all the Top 10 Finalists. For the rest of us, we've done our best.

So, apparently I'm in :) :) Please consider checking out my map Hover and good luck to everyone else who made the Top 10.

Congrats to all! and thank you for making awesome games for the arcade!
Congratulations to the winners, I never really stood a chance :)
I'll try to find time to try out all the maps and vote fairly. When does the voting period end?
I am happy that I gave up on making any new map for the contest...
Congrats to all "winners" so far. Great to see some actual quality in that list.
