I'm thinking the accusation is more what he was aiming for at this point, you can only explain to water that its wet so many times before getting frustrated.
Are you *sure* those are the monitors you have and use? I'd think that black and white in this day and age would suck pretty hard and especially if they have way too many pixels in way too small a surface(20.1"? larf) to ever notice them and just push your video cards much harder then they need to be going. Also how's that non-standard resolution working out for you with games like starcraft 2 that I know from plenty of personal experience really hates anything that deviates from the defacto ratios & resolutions? Those monitors are for medical xray viewing and the above considerations aren't the only things that'd make them really poor choices as monitors for home use.
Once again this story much like your others...doesn't quite add up. So now you probably have a better idea of what I was finding so incredible to believe, but to hint: It wasn't the resolution of the monitors. ;)
My apologies, just your stories are always so unbelievable. So you really do play on a monochrome monitor(that means black and white, no colour at all, just white, grey and black), in a resolution way too high for its size who's input methods are far as I know completely physically incompatibility with PC video cards? There are plenty of methods of having a non-standard resolution as your display, but I'd have picked a link to a monitor that at least has a chance of being something someone would possibly want to use as a desktop monitor. And btw those monitors are embedded into things and not something you could just 'take home from work' even if someone pried one out of the several hundred grand valued machine it was part of, sorry, I'm afraid I still just can't believe you.

Ya know when you put it like that you come off as a real asshole.
You could have said it with so much more... finesse... like this:
"It's called 1920x1080, and it's the only way to fly."
See how much better that sounds?
