Unless you really know what you are doing like DR ... then it is amazing you hit that script limit as for the most part it is hit because of badly optimized code. So, it is better IMO to go back and optimize your script. :)
if a single trigger is too long, you will also get an error. If you have a single trigger that makes you think "hot shit, that is a long trigger" there is a good chance that is your problem. Split it in half, and it should work.
This can be done, but Its not the optimal solution, it just breaks the problem down into smaller parts, it doesn't solve it. I'll pitch the same advice as its pretty much the best answer. Script optimization is required.
It is of course best if you can optimize your script proactively, rather than doing it only when it's needed. You will not regret it if you do so, I promise :)
