On the CnC forums there was a 'rank'. Basically it was to do with posts. When you posted 100 you got the 'Peacekeeper' rank. 500 was the next rank etc. Was to do with post counts.
I think we should add something like this, but based around helping people. For instance, if someone posts a lot of posts in the trigger forum, they could get the rank 'Triggerite', 'Triggertron' etc. Random puns and stuff that show how active you are and in which forum you are most active in.
Also, i think that the rep system would work on a forum like this, due to it being more about helping people than trolling and posting pictures of cats doing funny things.
A SEA region option in the profile would be good. SEA licenses get the same character code and I've used the same name but it doesn't keep achievements and stuff like that across both servers so I never use my NA character, only my SEA one.
Stick the misc development at the top of the development subforums, less questions appearing in the general chat forum that'd be better placed in that one.

Negative, people will post ALL questions in that forum, its why we removed i from the top in the first place. =D

Subforums for the tutorial section: Dialogs, data, triggering, general mapping(setting up lobby/teams), terrain, modeling, etc. The 19 pages of tutorials doesn't help people find what they need. Especially small threads that hold nice information, but they only consist of several lines of words. These could go into one thread of Tips Of The Trade with table of contents.
in any particular thread, have a button 'show only replies by OP'
so for example, if a user posts a thread asking a question, then a whole bunch of people ask the OP for some more info.
usually i have to search through a whole bunch more pages to find the OP's response.
if we have a show only replies by OP button, we'd be able to see all the OP's posts in the single thread. = WIN
I was thinking, since there are no chatrooms in SC2, making it difficult to keep in touch with other players, perhaps a live chat option here would be a good idea?
This would make it much easier to gather people to play "unpopular" custom maps, or find people to help out with map testing.
Remember that sc2mapster don't have to host it, just have to advertise it. It would be possible to just make a team group or something, and often link to it so that it remains active.
Oh. If this is not the proper thread to post this suggestion in, please point me in the right direction.

Please add an option to let us set BBCode as default. Currently whenever I log out and log in back again, the default changes back to WikiCreole. However, as discussed here, actually very likely many people are more used to BBCode as it is a more common type of markup for forums. Thanks!
i'm trying to find maps with a large number of player slots: 8-16. It's a bit of a long task as i have to skim through each map description. It's easy, but time consuming.
It would be nice if among the filter options you could choose the amount of player slots found in the map from 1-16. It would definitely help us ffa-ers.
Search posts by Author. Like sometimes I want to look up some of my posts I made because I had a solution to a problem that someone is currently having and want to give them a link, but can't remember the name/date of the post, and currently I am limited to searching for keywords, and going through the list I get.
Wether it's through the actual search feature, or if I could click on my own name, it takes me to my profile/page, and right there a convenient link as 'Find Member's Posts' or whatnot.
Sorry if it's already been suggested, but I'm not reading through 80ish posts, haha ;) That's YOUR jobs :P
Well, thx for reading and GL with the update(s)

Where is the LA server in the Battle.net name options? :/
When are you guys planning to implement changes?

True enough, always a tough call on how to build an interface to appeal to a newcomer's first instincts for sure.

notifications for post replies in threads you previously posted in similar to facebook's notification system for wall posts and comments.

Wasnt the Cow Marine in Melee play on the beta? Or am I seeing rip-offs again?
How about a live chat feature?

Haha, I see that I missed the thread you already have about it. Thanks! I should have checked first. Sorry
