well if i can ill give my story, i basically released my map a lil more than 2 months ago. Now when i had a playable version.. i released it to the public.. its a 12 player map thats 3v3v3v3. It went no where, for almost 2 weeks.. Just sitting at the bottom of the list with no plays. Then i got the idea to install a macro and wait for a reset, So that when a reset happens, you just have the macro joining all day/night. the macro boosted the map to page 3 or 4. And from there on its been pretty self stabalizing. So the moral of the story, The system is bad, Abuse it. I dont see anything wrong with abusing to get your map noticed. Now if you map goes up on the pop, then dies.. then thats a whole diff story. But for this terrible system, im trying to give advice for any body thats doing a large map (lots of players) , you pretty much 100% have to do this. No amount of advertising will ever work and i will give my example. Even if you get 1 guy to join your large 12 player map. Whats the chances of having 3 or 4 more? when ur map needs 12 to be played properly(as designed) ..... So basically for any new map above 8 players, you have no other choice...... so abuse it up or quit ur project.
i have the same problem, my map is for 12 players. i played it with some friends and it was really funny everyone said. but let´s be honest, how can it climb up the list itself?
its a program that can record mouse movements/clicks.. a good one will include delay timers. So basically you just record yourself entering/leaving a game. Then run the macro to keep repeating itself .
