I have done a few cinematics until the release of Starcraft 2. I have not played that much with the editor to know many of it functions, but I'm able to do at less a video. So here is, sorted by the gayest to the best :P
Playing with one trigger >.<
Camera #1
Camera #2
First Cinematic
Second Cinematic
Thrith Cinematic (here it starts to become better)
Fourth Cinematic (My best until now)
Fifth Cinematic (It was for a school work, so it is in french)
WTE #24 (For the Weekly Training Exercises for this forum)
So, what do you think of them? We can easily see the evolution through my cinematics... You like my best cinematic?
Yes I know... I must deal with this, my comp isn't the best one. It play easily sc with the ultra settings, but if there are too many units or effect or the point of view see the whole map, etc. I'll will lag alot. And to do my video, I don't want to records them into low graphic you know >.< So I do my best to make it lag the less possible. Like make the units be smaller, start with a smaller map and if needed change the bounds, take care of the point of view, and "if it the point of view lag in the editor, it will in sc2".
Those things I did not take care of during my firsts cinematics. But for the WTE ex, it is a very small map. That's why it doesn't lag.
If I really need to make a kind of battle and my comp lag too much, I'll probably make a friend of mine record it. He has a very better computer. (He sometimes plays sc2 with the 3D vision >.<) But, until my videos are not satisfying me, I wont ask for his help. Only when my video / map / idea will be very great, that I'll ask him to record it for me.
i agree: great work (well the music does help...) but cinematics need a purpose... apply your wits to someone's mod and you're golden!
:)
thanks for the eye candy
You know... I'm still a beginner. I still really suck at triggers... And making videos use triggers! So mostly, I use Creat Revealer, Apply Camera Object and Wait. The rest... is just terraining. But, I want to be very very good using trigger that make units move, special visual effect, make picture appear or whatever etc.

Interesting stuff. Later ones are just fun to marvel at. Watch out for laggyness though :/

While I like the cinematics, I do believe they need a purpose, rather than to just roam around randomly.
I have two things to say, the first one its: Awesome dude, just awesome. And the second thing its: With what program u recorded that?
