i can relate, i got that a year ago.. (but i'm on mac and kind of figured it was related to it)
can you still switch to the "present on map units"? (i could)
do you get that on your map.. or on all maps (like a blank "new" one)
sorry to say that no one produced any solution to my situation..
then the doodad palette dissapeared too
all very awful .. :/
so i reinstalled sc and it changed nothing
...
(maybe there is a fix or the compulsory next patching from blizz will help / they do help out more for pc users, so do make a post online to them ...)

i never managed to fix it.. just copy pasted stuff into my maps (from previous maps), since the "present on the map units palette" still worked
...
then i had to update my comp, and after reinstalling sc, it worked again
...
:/ again i sympathize and hope you get to fix it ez and soon (stuff like clearing your blizz "hidden" files and repatching from hots update might work, even if it didn't for me)

Thanks for the help. It turns out that the dialog box for the data was that super skinny bar and for some reason, the editor decided to hide it to that and make me think all my data was gone... I found the solution that someone else had that problem. Lol, what for a stupid small thing to happen and waste so much of my time. Anyhow, have a good day.
No data appearing in the editor? No errors either?
I reopened my file up and there's no data in the data editor, Here's a pic of whats happening. I don't understand, how do I get the data to appear? I've already created a shitload of units. Put over 40 hours of work into this. Is there anyway to make it reappear? i guess the missing palette could be savaged on pc, definitely couldn't be on mac, u better believe i tried :D
now if we could only know how/why it dissapeared i could sleep better (to prevent it happening again)
(maybe a galaxy ui "refresh or return to default" function would be nice)
