I hope that ALL the scbw protoss units will appear on LotV, i also wish that corruptors - devourers - scourges - zerg guardian -sc1 queen and defiler will come back.
Here a thing that i am pretty sure about:
WoL: Protoss mini-campaign
Hots: Terran bonus mission
LotV: Zerg Mission / Mini-Campaign
On the bonus mission we probably see Kerrigan on the search of Amon imho
Also, I want to say. When I watched the SC2 LOTV Campaign overview, most of the units of all races got an improved team colors and looks awesome. I think LOTV's story will be good than the WOL and HOTS story campaign.
I think in the final mission we will have control of Raynor's Raiders/Dominion, Kerrigan's Brood/Zerg Swarm and Protoss Empire, or the Terran and Zerg will be ally and controlled by IA
I think the last mission will be a boss fight of a sort, just like it happened with Diablo 3. But, if there's a mission on that, it'll be the player controlling Protoss only, with Terran and/or Zerg being AI controlled, just like it was in HotS. And I'd have no doubt it'd be the prior to the last mission.
But if Blizzard really wants to deliver a 'final assault' mission, then they must improve their AI considerably, push it to the limit, and they have the tools for it (Bullies, Random Integer for wave types/attack paths, multiple region and player AIs, ETC). They just need the will to improve and deliver something worthy of an old-days BW B&D mission. If they have that, we'll be pitched for some improvement than what we got in HotS.
If the final mission is "All Races VS Amon", then I have a feeling it'll be like the final mission from Reign of Chaos, just replace Humans with Terrans, Orcs with Zerg, Night Elves with Protoss and Undead with Amon's goons! I'd love an epic boss fight, though.
Should've clarified: I'd love an epic boss fight for a final mission, as in going in to kill the boss with one or more powerful heroes, not defending a base against it until the timer's up.
I wouldn't be surprised if the final mission had you controlling bases of all three factions, like the final mission in StarCraft. You'd be forced to swarm something with the Zerg, siege with the Terran and maybe provide support or defense with the 'Toss or such. I'd dig that.
Yes, controlling both T and P was a nice twist in the final Vanilla SC 'Toss mission, but I think Blizzard would over-simplify this one, in LotV, I mean, with allied AI.
Ammon however has to be the most boring, uninspired, anti-climatic boss that a plot-line could revolve around. Big dark ominous power from beyond stopped by mortals. We've seen this style before...and not only once.
To be fair, I think it was fairly well done in WarCraft 3. The Burning Legion wasn't entirely a Deus Ex Machina and all races had their own grand stories only to have them come together in the end. The story wasn't amazingly mindblowing or such, but I though it was strong enough.
I was 13, back then, and I had little idea of the downhill that the company would eventually get to, but even now I think the WC3 story was pretty solid, though I also had no idea they re setting the ground for WoW (With TFT further cementing it). But, back then we had no idea Blizzard was bracing itself for something so ambitious such as a MMO.
StarCraft II, in my eyes, is trying to set down the same road, though many are realizing it's the same walked road from before, and thus it's now seen as nothing more than an attempt to milk more money from an already exhausted source that the MMO genre had become, only trading fantasy for sci-fi this time. Doubtlessly, unless Blizz is that masochist, Warlords of Draenor will be the final expo, so they can focus on either this new MMO or Overwatch, which I think it's more Activision than Blizzard trying to catch up on the CoD: AW/Titanfall fever. Just check the same old-school super-mobility system. Pretty alpha and masked, but it's there.

Actually Blizzard has been wanting to do a FPS for ages ever since StarCraft Ghost. However I do agree that Overwatch might be Activision forcing them to re-coop their losses from project titan. In the end no mater who owned them they would probably try and do the same (it only makes financial sense).
The problem is there are no new ideas for games. If there was one, then chances are someone somewhere has already made it in some form. One can only try and present existing ideas in a new and better way.
For example, DotA 2, Heroes of the Storm, LoL, Demigod and HoN all are re-hashes of AoS, a map that was re-hashed hundreds of times in Warcraft III in countless forms. Some of those mentioned are highly popular at the moment which goes to show that it is not inventing new ideas but executing them well that makes a good game.

They have already confirmed they will be doing WoW expos for a long time. THey recently trademarks the possible next expansion name 'Eye of Azhara'. They still got plenty of lore to explore (Azhara, the Legion, easy 2 -3 expos right there.)

Blizzard was pretty good/great at storytelling prior to WoW, imo.

No, they already did a 'boss' defense mission for SCII, it's the last one in WoL.

This could be part of the difficulty settings. Easy = control 1, Normal = control 2, Hard = control 3, Brutal = control 3 and shit gets real.

This could be interesting, true. Adds to a more unique final battle.
The expansion looks amazing.

Can't help it. It's Blizzard, after all.
