Your argument was that you were lucky, and your map probably would not be popular if Tower Defenses did not have a category of its own, and tower defenses are already popular amongst themselves, and that the name, description, or preview image may have helped in appearing as appealing? That if you weren't lucky you would have to additionally advertise somehow to get your map to be known? Because that's what I've been saying. I never contradicted myself.
As I had also said, Blizzard can only do so much to promote your maps. As I had also said, I am not against Blizzard aiding in getting people's maps available. Thinking that you should never have to advertise to get a popular map is wrong though.
Using your map as an example is much like saying that you shouldn't have to complete high school to be successful, just because some high school dropout got lucky and now owns a very successful business.
