Fair enough. I was just worried that people around here were actually taking him seriously. If that's not the case, then no problem.
Yeah... I don't know, maybe there's signs that Blizzard is wising up. Like spawning, opening up the arcade, etc. But the question is whether it is too late, or whether improving things will bring lots of people back.
I mean, WoW is dying too, so they've implemented things like 'F2P to level 20' etc. So...

if they want to bring people back, the arcade HAS to be put on its own platform.
with its own engine(based on the sc2 engine so our maps are fully transferable). and then that platform has to be heavily advertised.
Blizzard All-Stars is independent but is the SC2 engine. So it's not farfetched... But it shouldn't be a different engine or a slightly different one; it should be still SC2. But of course for FPS/TPS maps they would need a different engine.
yeah, if done right it could become MASSIVE< and once the player base is there then they could implement their paid maps garbage that I dont even want to deal with :P, I just want a simple donate button.

You are talking 4-6 months baseline (1 to 3 years blizz-line) to implement that. That solution will take far too long.
As you already pointed out as soon as titan comes out its all over if its not repaired before hand. But as I have been pointing out the community has been trying very hard for over 2 years. If we could not have done then, then we won't do any better now. Blizzard has to fill that gap. They have shown a complete lack of interest in doing so.
Now why did I make that thread about EA? Well since Blizzard's business model has thrown the arcade to the wolves then I think its safe to assume they don't few it profitable.
So the real question is not what can be done by the community alone, its what the community can do to change Blizzard's judgment about the arcade. That is to convince them that the arcade is an important part of their profit scheme.
As such it is a business question, not a mechanics or art assets or even player base question (not directly at least). Someone far higher up in management needs convincing.
And that means losses on a scale that could make such management concerned. EA has proven that the model that both of them are running has a good chance of ending in financial ruin.
But I copied that thread to the SC2 forums. Someone made a very going point. Activision-Blizzard will just brush it off with statements like "Oh we are not evil like EA" etc.
However either this or competition with valve has the highest chance of succeeding. Will it succeed? Most likely not. But the route I am going has a far higher chance than anything else anyone else has come up with.
As I said the deciding factor won't be anything that has to do with us (directly), it is going to be a business decision made at a far higher level.
Day two ends without a single source. Food is getting scarce. Water running low.
TaintedWisp still circumventing his ban for racism and homophobia. Taking bets on how long he lasts.
Seeing as the admins knew the day he created that account and the others that it was him ( you don't even need an ip search to confirm that; rather sad), it appears they've lost any sort of dignity at actually doing their jobs on this site. Even tainted has boasted that admins aren't willing to outright ban him because of a deal he made with them.

Perhaps Hobb is confused, because there exists no such deal. Hobb may be referring to Taint's presence in the IRC channel, and assumes that a deal was struck, but as I told Hobb in IRC, I'm not going to waste time tracking down the alts of banned individuals unless they are behaving in such a way as to draw attention to themselves. One would do well to not confuse disinterest with collusion.

Is this honesty the kinda of bullshit we can expect to see continue at mapster from now on? By all means I would never expect admins to waste their valuable time going through every account to check for alts but its another story when someone has provided you with irrefutable evidence to their source or that you already new from the beginning. And I'm sorry but the mere fact of your presence in this thread is proof enough that attention is being drawn, so i again call bullshit to your claims. If its really not that important to you or from your word "none of your concern" why bother personally make a post especially when the first one made no mention of you; dispite using the term disinterest, you sure seem to be showing a complete lack of it.
Obviously now an issue that could've easily been nipped in the butt, is growing even larger because it wasn't done right the first time. Im sad to say it, but it seems tainted has taught me something too; anyone now can speak there minds or disregard any and all of the tos and the likes without worry while getting away with an unlimited amounts of reprieves. And no this "deal" was not something from irc as i was taking your advise towards being more tactiful in regards to this. Whether there even was or wasn't one it has been deemed prudent to permanent ban a member but not a single admin has bothered to actually follow up on the permament part.

I appreciate your reports on the matter, now you can forget about it, and let the mod team do their job. Negatively criticizing the moderation team publicly, after being told it's being taken care of, is a great way to get yourself banned. Feel free to test us on this, my ban finger could use some exercise.

@FenixKissKerrigan: Go
Yeah but I was thinking more of the blizzard launcher. that way WoW, D3, Sc2, Titan, All stars players would all have full access to it.
Interesting thing is... if SC2's engine became lke the UDK.

We still haven't gotten to know each other, you and I.
imma just leave for a while, so you two can just go ahead and do your buisness.

as you said .. we were all waiting for you to tell us that blizzard can do what it wants
you are very entertaining, blizzard will listen to you for sure

Fock is definitly not wisp; the join date alone is proof enough.
@Bold, Source?
