Maybe it's regional difference. Most of the rpg maps here on Asian server have multiplayer features built in, and not much of those maps are played solo. I had that in me mind.
1) Download your map.
2) Hack it and open it in the editor.
3) Add a trigger for whatever reward you want.
4) Publish and play on battle.net.
Your map file itself is not safe, so no amount of messing with the bank files is going to help.
Even if you hack the map + republish under a different name; 99% of people are going to play the original anyway.
Also there is no advantage to hacking a bank file via triggers rather than text edit; either the aspiring bank hacker figures out the bank or he doesn't.
Yeah, zeedu, you got it; that's exactly what I mean. Using my map as an example, even if you were to hack your Total TD rank via trigger, the security triggers on the real map would catch the imbalance of X, Y, Z as soon as you enter a real game.
The point is not to make a bank "hack-proof," of course, it is simply to deter would-be bank hackers from a simple signature decoder download + text edit.
Actually, I like to sucker people into thinking the bank is unprotected, then they try and it announces their attempt in game. If someone gets a screen of that, I can always set their ID to 0 rating directly. :)

Im not 100% sure on this aspect but i remember jade mentioning that banks are linked to publishers, and no other map can access that bank unless it has the same publisher. reuploading (changing the publisher) would then create a second identical and worthless bank. you should test that tho

This is for hacking "personal banks", not for hacking personal bank though the sc2 client or other players banks without permission through sc2 client or hacking which im talking about

It will be so easy only for non-obfuscated maps. If a map is obfuscated, the third (and even the second) step may be very hard.

You queried if banks were linked to the publisher. The link answers it.
@Eiviyn: Go Sorry for only skimming but that's that's interesting.... gives me bad ideas XD
