What does the formation value in gameplay data indicate? I know that it means how easy units group up, but no mather if I type 12 or 480 or whatever, the units behave the same way. What does the value indicate?
What is Aquire Leash radius and Aquire leash reset Radius?
how would i go about constructing a mine? (explosive) as in, when a unit walks over it it would explode and kill them? i cant seem to get it done with triggers, and i suck at data editing =(
Maybe I''ll find here the answer. I was asking about it in "Terrain Forum" - how could I make the lower cliff level (-1 level) an active level? Where units could fight, and do other things like somewhere else on the map (on the level 0, 1, 2 of cliff)?
A little correction to my previous post, forget my previous almost-question. My noob question is how do you make a SC2bank store Wins, Losses, Win ratio % = Wins/(Wins+Losses)x100 for 8 players and load this in a Leaderboard's Wins, Losses, Win% columns for each player? Also when round is won during ingame win to add and store wins/losses.
Well I thought it was still Tuesday, but since I see this up guess I'll post a question I didn't see a tutorial for, or a clear section for it for that matter. That question being, how would you go about making custom sound files for use w/ units? A little guide on how to make a Unit_Yes sound compilation would be fine, I could make the rest from there, or a link fully explaining this would be just as good. That way can avoid things like..... having a kerrigan model import use dropship and infested kerrigan noises.......
EDIT: Question resolved, after looking in data editor sounds section, discovered this is probably about the easiest task to accomplish in the data editor as a whole. Just have to import the files you want, it apparently takes ogg and mp3, possibly more types, I used Audacy 1.3.14-beta (Unicode) to convert some files into ogg if anyone happens to be curious, is a good FREE sound editor.
I would try taking a good look at the command card and the abilities it shows. I found that by going to the data editor, then Abilities: Gateway - Train (Gateway), then Ability: Info + from there, I could basically duplicate whatever it did for a high templar or zealot or whatever, threw a probe in there and set all the rest up like a templar, threw in a button under Units: Ability: Command Card + (which already existed for warp in probe), then set the rest up like a templar or whichever, I could then use a gateway to warp in probes. Imagine doing this for a new unit wouldn't be hard at all, might just make a new button for it.
EDIT: Since you are wanting to make a building, possibly one not designed for building units build them, it might be easiest to use a building that acts about how you want that does build units, duplicate it, use a different building actor, then just have it make only the units you want.
OOOOkay zelda this will probably be a longer one :D
Okay Say I made my own units(actually neonsz made them :D), How would I Create a train ability for them?
Also I need to Know how to modify the cost of this ability.
Im sure my team members could tell me, or do it for me, But I would rather be shown how to do this so I can learn for myself.
How do I make Overlords with Banelings inside them, and so the Overlords are moving to a location, dropping the banelings and the banelings attack everyone in that area?
And how do I make it so Overlords spread creep at anytime in the game whenever they have the upgrade they need to do it?
I didn't see a good way to do the exact feature you are looking for, that is issuing orders to banelings to into an overlord then come out and attack. Is a workaround that would simply involve moving a point to the overlord, creating a baneling there, move region to overlord, scan for players in that region, then move point to that player, than issue order to last created unit to attack to that point. Having it work based off a timer would be fine, or when a player gets close to said overlord. Would allow your overlord to have an unlimited amount of banelings, and save you the trouble of all the work that would go into loading him up and dropping one off at a time.
I'm not sure exactly how to go about having the overlord create creep when he has a particular upgrade, but am noticing a modify creep action in the environment section to place creep where you want.

Also an Aura that slows enemy unit movement speed and attack speed.
New research items, Superinforced plating which gives +10 hp and +2 armor?

It's a shame I didn't knew about this thread until now.. Had a lot of questions, but asked here on SC2Mapster and solved some of those :)
