What pissed me off is that they said all of these maps can be done by
everyone with their own editor, while they uses restricted function for
flash dialog item in Bejeweled, which basically means non-blizzard map
will never be able to make the gems animate like that
haha epic fail, on EU: left to die mods, which arent featured have less than 20 hour popularity, seem like no one wants to replay the map on harder difficulty or on forever mode. (or they are stupid to do so)
So I've been trying to open the Auir Chef map in SC2. At first it crashed, with no custom models. Then I downloaded the ones from here, put them into the mod folder and it worked. However, when adding it as a dependency, I can't get it to work. After opening the mod itself it seems empty. When opening the map, I can find all the data there. When opening the mod, and trying to export the modified Zealot model, it just shows the infamous sphere (Also, I can't save it, but that could be an editor bug).
I did find out that they use model additions to add the rolling pins/ knives etc though.
The map already defined the dependencies as battlnet/chef.sc2mod, which is the mod uploaded by blizz. There is a field for temporary offline mod file for testing, which is your installation folder/mods/chef.sc2mod, where i told you to put it. The mod only contain assets like model and such, the map has all the data entries as well as anything else.
IT seems like co-op campaign levels or just a co-op campaign would be fairly popular, with some easy editing, I think blizzard could do that.
Also, are blizzard against people making modified blizzard levels?
Like say, I wanted to make a tutorial map of all in, or left for dead. Or just more co-op levels.
Yes, they are against it. Some people I know have asked the support.
Though I wonder if it's allowed to use the transmission sound files from the campaign and mix them into your map.
Well, finally got around to trying these out. They are laughably bad.
Remember when blizzard canceled projects they knew wouldn't be up to their quality level? Well that company doesn't exist any more. Expect to see horrible games on the marketplace at some point in the future if this is any indication at all. I don't see any of this crap transitioning into anything worth playing. Their design team for SC2 has done nothing to impress me since the launch of this title which is insane considering the quality of assets they are supplied with from art to sound to voiceovers.
Probably a bit harsh but it's the truth, there are far better designers on these forums who should have their maps featured and with custom art rather than the rubbish they just put out a few days ago.
Use:
1 Put these files to <your game path>\StarCraft II\Mods
2 Launch Left 2 Die MOD.SC2mod
3 Go to File > Dependencies and add Left 2 Die Textures Models.SC2Mod
And you ready to use it!
Units Preview.
Notice that STANK on his head dont have one horn..
And why do i need to login for the galaxy editor?
How many kids use that for multiplayer?
WTF?
RAGE QUIT
I see, let's add this here http://forums.sc2mapster.com/general/general-chat/17501-start-listing-things-that-annoy-you-about-the-editor/ :).

This is a bit weird. Any news on why?

As I said, downloading from Bnet doesn't work, but the ones you posted do.
