There is a potential exploit in SCBW right now that allows executing other applications. They might fix that, but I kind of hope not as the mechanic behind it is good for SCBW mapping, similar to EUDactions before Blizzard patched them out of the game. Also, the bnet UI is horribly broken on modern OS and performance might be poor without these windowed launcher things fixing stuff.
AfaIk, D2 doesn't run too well without a 3rd party glidewrapper. But I have no idea what they could do to WC3.

The java engine of diablo2 is soooo outdated. (Fallout was using it to) Porting a monster like diablo2 on a 2015 engine gonna take years.
And also not having to exit a map when testing more changes. And the ability to test campaign changes same way you test map changes. Man, testing was horrible back then^^
Not having to add 4 seperate image files for a loading screen... in TGA, whick took way too much hd space.
To be honest, compared to just patch up the old game, I hoped that there would be a actual offical project to redo war3 in SC2 engine and continue maintain its balance.
My mod has did its best, but there are still unfixible things which could only ask for engine support. Like the tree just occpied too much rescources, etc.

WarCraft 3, StarCraft 1, Diablo 2 are the ones they mention.
Using words like "restoring" suggests to me that they are updating the originals rather than remaking them entirely.
Me, Renee and Ahli just apply. (Kidding)
I am lucky to have these three games already installed on my pc, this imho is admirable from blizzard, to update old-ass games, gz!
I assume they will fix problems with modern OS.

I could see myself spending time in D2 again if b-net was playable..
Would be awesome if characters wouldn't be deleted if you didn't login for 3 months.
I would welcome to be able to save a map in the editor while playing it in the game. This would make on-the-fly-changes much easier.
They could do that, by doing what SC2 does (Copy and run the map seperately).

Diablo2, Wc3 and Sc1 Website just turned down....the hype?
Maybe even make War3 support widescreen?

I'd bet my non-existent hat that it's to integrate them into bnet 2.0 and little more.
website still down, surprise incoming
needs multicore support, widescreen, updated pathfinding engine, well it needs a lot really.
My 2 cents on this to
