"Think of it more as Seven Samurai," he said. "This is the Protoss on their last legs, in their final hours, fighting against the darkness that threatens to consume the Universe. And they are the only ones who can stand up to the forces that are arrayed against them. They are the proud few warriors facing the void, facing oblivion on their own, and slowly being picked off one by one. And that's what we're going to try and get across in Legacy of the Void, that real sense of doom, and really give you the sense of what it is like to be this race with those long, and amazing, and glorious traditions, slowly being consumed and snuffed out."

Sounds cool. I've had an inkling for a while that (based mostly on the In Utter Darkness mission) the Protoss campaign may involve more hero units, perhaps a sort of hybrid of RTS and squad based strategy or something like WC3 but with the heroes not being quite so one-man army.
I also think it'd be awesome if they had a version of the In Utter Darkness mission but thanks to Zeratul's actions this time the Protoss do not stand alone... so for example partway through the mission Raynor arrives with the Terrans and then at another point Kerrigan arrives and so all three help stand against the Hybrid.
So Protoss are to continue their losing streak in LotV, sounds delightful =D
Brave and proud, facing void on their own.. so much potential for unneeded and overall stupid deaths. Don't let me down blizz, I'm looking forward to the next exciting episoode of Star Craft Two!
Blizzard are lately going into some Asian/Chinese specifically ploys - WoW MoP, LotV samurais... no I would prefer to see them following some more alien specific traditions, not turn everything into Chinese mythology. Then again I never cared about such minor things in Campaign to be 'disappointed' of the campaign for such things but still, cant turn everything into Asian themed yes?

I really wouldn't be surprised if they did something along those lines for the final mission.

Edit: Might be something like the movie Seven Samurais.
Edit2: Finally figured the name of the movie I watched: 13 Assasins. The premise might be similar to that of Seven Samurais
There is actually a chinese story, which the anime Samurai Seven is based off of.
Also there is a movie http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samurai_7
I think it would be better if Zeratul and Kerrigan could "join" into a Zerg-archon and kick the darkness' butt. The unit could be called... Zerrigan!

i can't wait to play Twilight of the Gods again.
not really.
i think im going to avoid any/all news about the next expansion and just pray it comes out good...
I could definitely see this happening. Maybe not necessarily the final mission, but it would be pretty cool.
That was epic, I'd love a sc2 version of it :P
