Hi. All we know, that people can publish maps in two options: private and public. Private means, that only original author can create map and invite others players in game. So, it will be very usefull, if we will get ability to allow some players test private map. This people can play in private map without original author and it's makes much easier to test map in private access.
2: require a password in the first 30 seconds, or kick the player out (host having a password could allow everyone in lobby to play, letting new people in, and you could compare the name of the host to make sure only allowed people can play)

You cant compare playernames with anything, because they are text and not strings. So that doesn't work.
I have found that it's safe to just upload a public map and not tell anyone about it. There's really very little chance it could "accidentally" become popular.
And if it does, you can revert it to private again.

So the author gives passes to players? And dudes who have a pass can play it? What if some author start selling the passes? Oo
Let's please not give any new suggestion to Blizzard.
First, they fix the broken system. New features later.
Would this realistically ever happen for anything short of SotIS? No, probably not. Also,
Oh come on! You know that even if they will fix it, it will take time. Why not improve smaller things in the meantime?
Because adding this new functionality would be a small thing actually.
There's an easy way to do that.
That's all :).
Isn't that Blizzard's plan with the marketplace anyway?

So Blizzard DotA will not be free? :(
Didn't they said dota will be released free?
@sandround: Go
I have heard nothing about it for a long time
@BloodClud: Go Yeah, thought blizzard DOTA would be out by now. You maybe right, DOTA might be the first marketplace map, so they are waiting so long.
