There's nothing special about this. It's not hard to make. It's easy to make these types of games in any programming language. It's even easier in the editor.
This would be special if it were capable of being playable over Battle.net (which it is not).
This was actually on battle.net back in the beta for a significant period of time. It was perfectly playable, but it hid the exit screen so you had to close SC2 when you lost the game.
Wow, that's awesome! Now I want to play a map like that. Hmm, its as Vexal said, its not hard to make. So someone make a battle.net version already with co-op! I got some ideas now too, how about 4 or 5 co-op vs a boss like that!
Now what would be cool is if someone threw in a twist like Ikaruga or whatever it was called for the GCN did. Basically it had a light and dark element where if you were dark you couldn't get hurt by dark attack while light attacks could hurt you. So to kill light enemies you would need to be in dark mode which would leave you vulnerable to their attacks.

Fact that this was made 2 weeks after the map editor came out in beta is pretty damn impressive to me.
