With your acts you clearly gave people the impression that you don't give a shit about their opinion as long as it does not fit yours, so of course less people vote this time.
You have pretty much two options now:
A) Take the community favorite Battle Planets as first map and hope that not too many supporters have been scared off this project.
B) Reveal that this was pseudo-democratic all along and choose another map, probably your own, and try to get it popular with less people.
And don't get me wrong, if somebody would have shown a super fitting map for the first week I would have been fine with it, but there were none that could could compete with BP. If you on the other hand choose a map that is already popular just to show that you can do it, this is pointless and a waste of my time. And ask yourself what you have prove with that...

Guess what. They are all good maps, except for the two TDs. (bleh, TDs YUK) Now I can tell you magecraft was winning. If magecraft can't compet with battle planets, why was it winning before the shady busyness put battle planets way in first?

Reason: you guys need to write CLEAR RULES before making any other stupid poll, so whatever the result is, we all agree and don't need to make 400 polls asking the same again and again.

Poll 1: We put all maps inside one poll, and everyone votes.
Poll 2: We make another poll with the best of the previous poll (2, 3 or 4). Voting for this one may be limited to old members, to avoid crap, or it could be open to everyone.
Result: The winner of the 2nd poll wins, and everyone deals-with-it.

wanted to extend my apologies to you colors about all the crap i've given ya about your map... I just finished my second week of school, and obviously because i'm on this website, school is hell for me
The only reason I changed the poll is because of the "Rodrigo is Flaming" option. If it was up to me, we wouldn't have a poll at all, because I don't trust the outcome, regardless of what it is.
And xSun, what is this crap about Income Wars not being a valid map? Not only is it okay for the map that is chosen to already be popular, it is encouraged!
Also for the record, my vote lies in "This is being rushed", because it is. I don't think that a poll should have ever been created in the first place, for a variety of reasons. For something this small, there are so many ways for the poll to show incorrect results. 1, there are like 20 people who vote. That means that if there are 2 troll votes, they could change everything. Not to mention that someone who doesn't really even care could just click and vote. I am thourouly 100% against a poll.
Note that I said AGAINST THE POLL not AGAINST BATTLE PLANETS. The game isn't bad; it just isn't "sticky" enough. It isn't something that will stick to the front page. It is just... too much of a mini-game. Perhaps as a second week game, maybe. Definitely it should be in there at some point, but not to kick off the whole thing.
I would be perfectly fine with Nexus Wars being the first map... It is far more important to get the map to the front page than to be "moral" about it. Once that is accomplished, then we can start focusing on getting unknown maps out there and what not.
And about my map being MOTW, have I ever said that? My map isn't going to be out for 3 months. If it is on MOTW, it will already be will into the program. Stop trying to put me down, I am just trying to help with this. Frankly, you are just being obnoxious.

since my "political support" of this project led to such a huge fustercluck earlier, i'm thinking about helping in a more... practical way
i'm gonna be a publisher for NA, but first i'm gonna ask rodrigo about anything i need to know beforehand, and, of course, look up the trigger
