Well, this is scary. One of my maps just vanished into thin air.
Nexus Fortress, published on EU only (other servers are fine).
When I try to upload the map again, everything appears fine. When I check "Managed Published", the map is not present. It is also not present on the "My Published" page.
I got reports that it vanished around 3pm GMT (7am PST).
Some random facts:
The map was active and being played.
The map hadn't been updated by me since the contest started (even though it was on EU). No reason for it to vanish.
The map still says it is "public" when I try to publish it.
I can still publish the map. The correct update number appears.
When I try to publish the map, my "published files" count remains at 21 instead of moving up from 21 to 22. Only 20 maps show on my "Manage Published" list.
No other map of mine has been affected.
Uploading the map eventually returns the error "Document aliases could not be accessed: CLIENTSIDECACHE_READ_CONNECTION_FAILED"
Upload is successful and the map returns to my ownership, along with properly appearing on the Manage Published list in the editor, and the "My Published" list in the arcade.
First time I've seen this happen. There's absolutely no reason why the map should've just vanished. I didn't touch it. It doesn't violate any rules so I don't think it was banned.
If I had to guess, I'd say that there's an issue with the new increased publish count (the max file count was increased from 20 to 80), as I've never seen this before and it's odd how it took me down to 20 published files.
Be careful going past the upload limit on US while this contest is in effect!
Yes, I have have had those messages. It made me do maps without mod.. and the size does matter too (in getting timed out something/who cares? not me!).
I am tired of talking to blizzard as a client, so I only let their bot get the log messages but did not esquire further myself (yes yes it should be "inquire" but i loved the typo so I kept it.)
I started over because I was sick of it (the waiting the anticipation at having "fixed" it etc).
Again, since blizz never contacts individuals but "only through their way", I' m not sure, but I would look at your authorizations :) and opening your comp further to bnet app when that happens (with the pitfalls that we all know (like galaxy wont close itself or other bugs) .. personnaly I tried and failed to be interested in fixing bugs for them.;
all uploading is possible but then the maps themselves cant have it added (this is a few weeks ago when I stopped using mods altogether)
:D blizz upped the size to reward us lol.. they fixed a bug by upping the space/timeout protocol agahahahahahahahha!!!!
Unrelated, 3 days ago, I was an hour in trying to meddle with the console and I fixed my units palette by apparently f cking my doodad palette :sadpanda:
What do I have to type in to refresh my palettes and it work properly :(
Happened again, this time to Hero Line Wars Starlight on EU server which was the 3rd most played map on EU at the time. Just vanished overnight for no reason. Seems to have happened while I was asleep so I'm 100% sure it's nothing I did.
The map itself vanished from "My Published" list and only reappeared once I uploaded the map again.
(not to mention i had no offline mode all summer and was repeatedly kicked by blizzard for bad internet.. and to host pc every day my only solution is to log out or reboot sc2.. 12 times a day minimum.. bad bad bad bnet worst worst worst editor bnet)

One of my extension mods randomly disappeared. I think I noticed it around the time of LoTV release. I haven't tried republishing or anything.
Again. This time one of the mods for Desert Strike HotS just vanished on SEA server.
- Error it returned when trying to play in-game
- Error returned when publishing, same as before
i cannot upload to SEA at all. did you try to upload another map to check if that one will disappear too?

@FunkyUserName: Go
I successfully uploaded DS-HotS and one of it's dependent mods to SEA which fixed it.
But yeah yesterday I couldn't upload to SEA.
