Spent the last week trying to figure out where a trigger error was coming from, cause the code was *perfect*, ie - logically it should have worked. Gave up on it, spent a day playing custom games, new patch comes out, load up the editor, test game, error gone ...
Ha, its actually quite funny, the only _real_ thing left to do, ie to fix a problem (granted I havn't made the scoreboard yet, but that is quick) is a UI issue that only helral can help with ... for as much as I have achieved with my UI, Helral still knows a lot more when it comes to override files :) Because quite a few of the problems with the map; have, and I am not kidding, been miraculously fixed with the patch we got through yesterday. Good to know in the end, it wasn't really me fucking my own map up :)
Oh, and I still have about a weeks worth of custom art to do - abilities and items. Cause I left that to very last when the map was finished - but the good news is we can have a quasi-opened beta test next weekend. Like seriously, get a huge group together, 30-40 people, and I will open the map to the public for a day or two ... then take it away, cause I am an ass :D
99% of the problems with the popularity system stem from the community, not the system itself - kids are impatient, go figure.
