That's literally nothing, dudes. REAL embarassment came from my homeland in the form of OutLive, remember? Even Atrox, Armageddon: For the Crimson Glory, Impact of Power: Destroyers and Submarine Titans had a bit of an effort put to them. OutLive literally had NOTHING backing it.
T_T I remember being a kid and having so much fun with outlive demo. Mind controlling mutant brutes with those dominatrix cars, harvesting vehicle remains for extra credits, arranging powerlines for remote outposts.. It was a nice mix of starcraft and C&C. I think I even enjoyed the campaign once I had the internet to pirate it..
This is such a nostalgia punch right here. Outlive, Dark Reign, KKND... god I just suddenly want to build a base, a bunch of stuffs and go on a linear campaign exploration in a worlds that are awesomely unlike SC.
Have there been RTS like that recently (except for Gray Goo)?
We Chinese people are very good at copying things, and I believe this a very effective way to learn how it works. I prefer to making original models, but I still resolve and research Blizzard assets as well. And I learned a lot.
But, "Legend of Titan" showed me a new criterion about contemptible.
Well, if you're just looking for something new which you can play for a couple of hours and nothing else, then I can recommend 8-bit Armies and Act of Aggression. They're not bad, it's just you don't get that much invested like the old games did.
Else, if you're looking something more different, just not needing base-building, then either Total War: Warhammer (Though I bashed it only because of the DLCs decisions, it's still worth taking a look) and Battlefleet Gothic Armada (Which GREATLY recalls the Treasure Planet game and Nexus: The Jupiter Incident)
Well, one thing is ripping off Blizzard models and assets to learn how they work. Putting them in another game and calling it your own is something completely different.
Honestly, I feel sorry for all the undoubtably skilled artists and developers who, rather than being given an opportunity to develop something new of their own are just tasked with copying other games :(
We can't just saw so many skilled modders don't get what they deserved——and do nothing, we should fight for ourselves as a community. We modders should always turn interests into a career and always be prepared, trying our best to don't let the opportunities go.
It sounds sad, but that's the only way we survive (from forcing to be a plagiarist some day.)
Lol there's 1.5 billion people in China what are the chances that nobody copies anything, even when in other countries? Rip-offs come from around the globe.
I don't play Overwatch and I've never seen any gameplay of it except for a couple of screenshots but these guys need a little credit. They used the game as their model and developed something, although close to it, can be liked.
Instead of naming it Legend of Titan, why not name it Shingeki no Overwatch or Attack on Overwatch? It's making a mockery of the actual game to tell you the truth.
The copycat of Overwatch
It's shame to see this happened in my country...
Freaking China on a nutshell
@DEFILERRULEZ: Go
Well excuse me? You just evaluated all Chinese by a single thing...
It was bound to happen eventually.
No IP regulations in the Mainland = copycats left, right and centre. Not much can be done about it.
you mean this and 10000000+ other counterfeits?
anyway, at least chinese people are ready to work hard, while in our country there are lot of lazy scum that just eager to steal something XD
Doing something, even copying is always better than doing nothing :D

KSNumedia's Assets: Custom Models for campaigns and mods!
I left company very late today, and there was a cat stared at me.

Haha! My neighbor's cat always gives creepy stares like that as well.
