The LotV beta is not publically downloadable. You can only download it from the BattleNet launcher if you got into the Beta (which most people, like myself, have not).
Outside of that you will need a third party download which is open to malware and abuse.
Instead of posting screenshots of trivial assets (which we will get a lot more of as part of the campaign dependencies) or melee data (which will likely change before release anyway), could people please post the changes done to important files like "natives.galaxy" as well as possibly new data fields for existing data classes?
I've seen people extract models from the beta's files.
I've seen people say that campaign models and an unannounced game mode are in the game's files.
I've seen a full listfile of new files for LotV.
I've seen someone post a picture of new terrain textures and doodads.
I've seen someone say that they looked up at the beta's XML/text files.
Here. All the info I could get. Not much, really. The HERC model is still in. There's a Civilian variant of the Cerberus, Viking and Banshee (latter 2 are seen in the BlizzCon 2014 environment video). There's also a reference to "Terran nanobots" (cool stuff). Finally, Tournaments and Allied Commanders are 2 new clickable options in the main menu.
BTW, Disruptors (and Purifier units) are, according to its voiceover in the game, dying/dead Protoss that were turned into AIs and inserted into machines. So imagine a dead Dragoon or Immortal who can't be saved... You turn it into an AI. So...
...Fenix 3.0? Purifier variant of the Dragoon is like, Fenix?
Quote:
If the beta language files are any indication, the Arbiter, Corsair, Defiler, Devourer & Guardian will all have full multiplayer versions, fully programmed with abilities and all, implemented into the game. The Corsair already had voice files present in Wings of Liberty.
The Queen (Called Brood Queen, I think?) is fully implemented as well. Devourer, Guardian and Queen all make appearances in the LotV campaign, I saw them in the build at BlizzCon. The Queens even had animations and everything, even for their abilities.
I think they should implement a SCBW mod, much like they did with the War3 mod. It's probable that these might just be for the Allied Commanders mode, though. Nothing on the Reaver and BW Valkyrie, though, so let's keep our fingers crossed for those 2, and let's hope this means something.

The voices and portraits are incomplete for most of these units, but here's what they will feel and look like once done.
HERC
Attitude: Salty, Sarcastic, Crude
Dialect: New Jersey English
Voice Reference: Sal from Futurama (John DiMaggio)
Ex-asteroid miners conscripted into service in the terran infantry. They are still very unrefined and crude. Similar in tone to the sleaziest construction worker you've ever heard of.
Disruptor
Attitude: Robotic, Refined, Intelligent
Voice Reference: Idris Elba
An ancient protoss consciouness that has been recently reactivated in a time of great trouble. An Artficial Intelligence representation of a now deceased protoss warrior. Intelligent and robotic, but ever vigilant.
Cyclone
Attitude: Disconnected, Dispassionate, Professional
Voice Reference: Rachael MacFarlane
Cyclones are piloted by drone operators from a base light years away. She's a young operator at the start of her career, she's never excited or even all that interested as she moves her giant mech around the battle field. Almost like a call center operator.

I didnt hack or extract anything. The instalation is pretty much legit, just need to know what exactly type in console, so someone shared this knowledge, and everyone installed it without some side cracking tools. To see doodads i used lotv file list that was datamined and posted on curseforge (http://www.curseforge.com/paste/11941/), and current build of editor to change model's file path with "view raw data" enabled... Then i just drag and drop this modified sc2map file in sc2switcher.exe
Well, it looks like you can install the client without having the beta access.
Looks like we will be able to create great looking medieval-like rpg environments with this new doodads. Blizz did something they never do before for sc2 in LotV. Most doodads are huge and very polished, lots of runic elements. Aiur looks like elven city from some game i played and didn't remember the name ;)
looks like they are reusing some of the heroes textures here. Cracks on the third pic remind me cracks from heroes statue model . Anyway, looks great !
Well, it looks like you can install the client without having the beta access.
Obviously not through the BattleNet launcher though. That will only list PTR/Beta as an option if you get in (unless you maybe had PTR installed before and it updated?).
Actually it is downloaded through the bnet launcher, (PTR and beta are 2 seperate options for it)
No it is not. Have some evidence.
Betas and PTRs will appear in that list if you are eligible for them. The WC3 asset PTR was in that list up until some time last week (when they migrated to LotV beta). The Diablo III RoS PTR is in the appropriate Diablo III list.
you need to call console and write command line to install the beta. the instructions are in teamliquid thread, the last one that AlexO6 posted on previous page. the bnet app must be running while you perform described action. i don't know if it still work cuz maybe blizzard fixed this lately.
Many installed the LotV "directly" through the battle.net launcher. As abvdzh mentioned, people forced the battle.net app via the console to install the beta from the blizzard servers. (I did it myself)
The resulted install is (at least for me) displayed as a "Beta: Heart of the Swarm", but it is the LotV build. (got all the proper files, and if it launches it displays the LotV loading screen )

Read the last paragraph of the linked post. That works and now a lot of people have the client installed already and are playing vs the AI via HotS maps via an edited dependency entry linking to LotV's mods.
hey guys i know most of you may already know/did this but if someone doesnt follow this thread, here is new unit tester map i found on reddit:
(adept looks rly cool i very much like this new model, they have nice shields and spell animation. Disruptor kinda good too, love the orange tint :)
Open lotv beta folder and go to Support directory. Drag and drop this map file on sc2switcher.exe file in that folder, this will launch map
Slayn doodads looks very diablo like. Also reminds me Daedra theme from elder scrolls series :).
@abvdzh: Go
moar screens please, some may be lazy to dl and install that thing
