Last year you could start submitting ideas in August. It's now October and we've heard nothing. Are they not doing it this year? Or was that mutator contest they just held taking the place of it.
i think not all contestants were happy about last years ending and now blizzard is upset too. they shall take the money and bring more ppl in the arcade, no matter what
Be sure to check out the extension mod: Hots Custom Map support on NA and EU, Despite the name it greatly expands the roster of options for the default 3 races and is updated all the way to NCO.
The issue is that it won't be 12k. It will be 150k minimum. Between the contract, the implementation, the time needed away from other tasks. Blizzard can certainly do this, but it is a matter of manpower and time, which are always in short supply. In my experience, money is usually not the problem, its time.
So in case anyone missed it, there will be a Rock the Cabinet 2016 but it won't be for the arcade. It'll be to design a co-op mission with more details to come later.
