No, it is not considered spam if you are actually asking a question. If you have many questions at once try and group them into topics so you ask 2-3 related questions in a single post. If not try and focus on solving a single question at one time and space out your posts a little so you do not consume a whole page.

Well the bad news is the moderators will not get their powers to ban spam bots again until after the holidays. This means spam will be rampant until after the holidays.

Why is it so easy for bots to enter? Could there be some "I'm not a bot" feature when making a new account? Or force a verify email before posting? There could also be feature about new account cannot post external link for X amount of time? There could be these kind of measures to reduce the amount i think...
The bots have a modus operandi of creating a count and then being dormant for 4 or 28 hours before hitting the forums with 1-3 posts before becoming inactive. There are then about 7-14 bots that give views to the thread.
The verify email before posting would just hurt actual forum users because bots have no issue with copy and paste.

The spam procedures and "learning" tools we use are always being improved and added to - you wouldn't believe the numbers of spam that comes through that you never see. It's a sickeningly large number.
The reality is, there's a handful of us and a whole world of spammers writing new tools and new bots. I think there's a movie based on an old tale about this.
