An RTS MMO where you start as a standard MMO character, work your way up to purchase a vehicle and finally work your way up to a starship. Most of the game would be played on foot, but you would always be able to call down your vehicle or support from your starship. Your starship would be like the instanced housing that most mmos have, only you'd be able to upgrade it with different modules that would improve or add new support calldowns to you while you're on foot.
Combat would be halo-esque, just rather than small maps, it'd be a world. Rather than vehicles dotted around, you'd call down your personalized vehicle. Your starship would be there to get around the world quickly and be a place to call home.
Map generated according players lvls with random generated creeps adjusted to the players lvl-s with randomized items and with a city (travian like) for each player that you can improve as you lvl up. Also: infinity lvls.
I'd wish for the ability to literally rule an empire with a big gun. EX: Race: Protoss Name: Xethus Thumak (Deviler) Empire Name: The Khala Warriors Class: High Templar. I'd wish for all out warz, bigger than ones we see in SC2. I'd wish for 100 classes per race. 10000 combinations of looks (EX: a templar with silver armor, a blue cape, and a silver sceptor with a blue gem on the tip) per class. 500 different sets of armor PER CLASS. 1000 weapons PER RACE. I'd also like graphics SOOOO high, that you can literally see pimples, scars, scratches, each individual rock and their own scars, etc. I'd also wish for each individual ship in your fleet to have their own name, custom textures, etc. I'd also like to wish for the ability to build your own custom planet with your own custom environment, bases, forts, cities, armies, civilians, etc. I'd like to build my own space station from the ground up. I'd also wish for 100s of skillz that you can buy from skillz masterz. Blizzard can update newer and newer abilities every week. I'd wish for the ability to build my own weapon from scratch and add my own custom textures, gems, style, etc. I'd wish for many many modes of gameplay. (EX: Siege, Arena, Duel, CTF, DotA, Minigames, etc.) I'd wish for the ability to chat with friends from SC2, WC3, WOW, Diablo 3, SC (MMO), etc. I probably could come up with an entire essay for this, but I think my fingers would be broken by then. :D
If they made it an MMORPG like WoW, i'd be...
Altough an MMORTS would seriously be cool. Kinda like a slower paced current Melee SC2 without limits and no actual "maps" but whole planets. Kinda like Ogame, Tribal Wars and other browsergames RTS and SC style
I think I'd also wish for the ability to mix and match RACES!!! :D:D:D HAHA!!! I'd also like to wish for unlimited quests. The way that'd work is there would be a random quest generator that randomly generated what you do, what rewards you get, and what challenging enemies you have to fight. I'd wish to be a High Templar with silver armor, blue cape or cloak, and a silver sceptor with a blue gem at the tip. I'd wish for more wishes...LOL! :D:D:D HAHA! I'd wish for all the dead villains and heroes from the SC legacy to return. EX: Tassadar, Fenix, Admiral Dugal, Overmind, etc. I'd wish for unlimited character slots so I can play with more than one character. I'd wish for my second hero to be a reaper bounty hunter with jetpack, explosives, flame thrower, the ability to fly anywhere (even in space), and have him wear black armor with red outline. I'd wish for every terrain possible to be implemented. EX: Ice, grassy plains, space platform, starship, forest, jungle, desert, badlands, trash planet, etc. That's all I have for now. :D
ps. just so you know ea didn't make CnC, they take it from Westwood, which is now called Petroglyph, go Petroglyph you can do it been westwood back =P, to make epic RTS games again
I was hyped up when you even mentioned that, but then I read further.
You don't build a base. You just pick a selection of units with each unit having a point score, tabletop Warhammer style. The world isn't persistent, rather it just allows a lot of players to play on the same very large map. There's no macro, no building, no defence because nothing you build persists in the game world. Yeah, I know that you do build a base, but it's instanced and basically is just a player housing feature that gives you certain buffs.
Unless I missed something, it's pretty unfair calling that an MMORTS. The "MMO" part is pretty overexaggerated when it's only talking about 51 players in the same instanced, non persistent world and there's no real strategy for it to be called an RTS?
the world is persistent that like one of its key things -.-
you get a clan like you did on SG, and your clan takes over the map to get bonuses, the world map will restarted every month
so there will be to world maps, the PvE one and the clan PvP one
its got macro, with your units and watching what you do, its meanly a team game, so you gota know when to do what and shit like that, westwood aka Petroglyph have ever made heavy macro games, but its still there and the pros at cnc and that shit know how to use it
i would it will be more Micro then macro like all petroglyph games
"The things that I want", by Mozared. A smoke. A whiskey. For the sun to shine. Unlimited ammo and a license to kill.
Max Payne paraphrases aside, I'd probably want to be able to roll as some of the key units. Marine, Firebat, Ghost, Zealot, Zergling, Hydralisk. On the other hand, this setup doesn't sound like it'd work particularly well. Come to think of it, I really don't know what I'd want. The best way I can come up with making an MMO like that work is if every player were forced into Terran and became some sort of 'ship commander' that can land on other planets to 'quest' there. But that's Mass Effect 2.
The main problem with it for me is that if SC was made into an MMO, they'd need to include the possibility to play Zerg as well as 'Toss and Terran, and I can't see a good way for them to do this.
