Were the 3D portraits of the multiplayer units not in the Beta? I never really paid attention to them in casts.

Not all of them. The adept is in because the portrait is used for the prologue missions, which are included in this patch. The Ravager and Lurker might be in, as well. The rest are not available in 3D yet.

Looks a little like a dark protoss unit, so maybe it's evil version. I could see them also having it as an unlockable skin.
