i just registred because some tutorial links dont work anymore and after google did not really help me i have to ask (maybe i did not use the right words to search idk)
iam looking for a tutorial how to make a building from scratch. The few i found at youtube are outdated or do not show what i want to do.
Getting into the editor is hard for me because my version is in german and every guid is in english, but its okay, the real struggle for me is the difference between the wc3 editor and the sc2 editor, there is so mutch more information.
The real problem is if i creat a new unite type as structure there is no model and i dont know how to add one, cant find a path to the model in orginal buildings liek the factory, the model is attached in that three under the unit list, i tought theres just a path to the model in the right information about the unit ...
Hope you guys understand waht i wanted to ask since iam not a native speaker
The model from the Models data type is linked to the unit from the Units data type by a Unit type actor under the Actors data type. The simplest way to do this is to create a new Unit type actor, set the Token field to your unit and the Art: Model field to your model.

i can read them, i don't get the context :D
i totaly have to look at these links
Thank you so mutch DrSuperEvil, its really hard to find help if you dont know the question ( while the answer is 42 :P )
At the top of the data editor is a little green + button. Click on it to open more tabs in the data editor. The Units tab has the picture of a green zealot, the Actors tab has a picture of a yellow zergling and the Models tab has a green goliath.
Just a heads up. For tutorials, the names in the wiki tend to be the same as the thread name. So you can search the tutorial name in the forums search bar, and you can usually find it.

The wiki has a good list of what each field does:
