I'm glad Blizzard is releasing a lot of old lore right before LotV rather than slowing down the story to re-introduce everything in the game itself like the previous two expansions.

I liked this short more for the character development, even though as little as there was for Artanis. It's a bit riveting to see Artanis isn't as much as the blithering idiot I feared he'd be in the campaign, though I have no illusions of what could occur in the campaign. But I definitely loved the 'Conclave Aiur' art they did for the city, that inspired me to some 'Toss city in the future.
But, Renée! You just post the serious video and not the hilarious retrospective Carbot did!? That one actually earned my laughs! xD
I liked it too. Not usually a fan of that animation style, but I found myself tolerating it here. Nice to see Blizzard playing on the backstory too. Okay, so it's basically Exposition Man 1 meets Exposition Man 2, but I was willing to ignore that, especially because the dialog was better than before. Bring on LOTV, I say.
If that is the Artanis we will have on the campaign, my hopes for the games can start to rise a little bit, a reflessive man, not a "derp, revenge, lez kill dem all!! baderp" cunt... I loved this short, i also enjoyed the Warlords of Draenor ones, the already called Not-Fenix zealot is once again so badass... Love him!
I recently watched an anime (I think it was called Fate or something) where they had various leaders/heroes from history fight alongside their summoners. This artanis reminds me of their portrayal of King Arthur: selfless and always trying to sacrifice for her people (King arthur was a woman in the show, but supposedly pretended to be a man in her time). I much preferred the portrayal of Alexander the Great in the same show. A fearless adventuring sort of man who wanted to see all the world had to offer and conquer it. He didn't needlessly slaughter (which many people argue kerrigan does), but he also lived for himself, and didn't subject himself to how others would want him to act.
Reclamation was well done. Almost had tears in my eyes. I remember taking the Protoss survivors to Shakurus in Brood War and how moving that was for me and here we are now back to reclaim it!! Can't wait!!...i know it doesn't end well...
Imho he was reflecting, he didn't choose "Ok, no-fenix is right, i must go because he says it", he choosed it because he find the meaning of this invasion, retake their homeworld, for ALL the protoss, btw he is not emo... How dare you, did u see dat gym muscles ? lel
How Artanis can think to conquer aiur, if on the planet there is the same amount of zerg forces, maybe now doubled that invaded Aiur at his max power, with his greatest fleets (for sure bigger then his fleet), plus the probable hybrids on the planets, and who know, maybe also Amon itself lurking somewhere...
Does Artanis knows about Hybrids and Amon awakening? Does he know about the prophecy ? About Kerrygan ? Why are the Dark Templars not with him?
i have more respect for Artanis doubts rather than hearing from him some trivial heroic bullshit. Was surprised by his deep speech, especialy after that cheesy "here here, to GLOOORIUS battle!" phrase from the 2nd prologue mission.
New video revealed. http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/19905106/
It also revealed the name of the Zealot of the Void Opening CG.

Emo leader isn't better than your example.

Argh spoilers
False spoilers. Artanis doesn't appear in the prologue.

Oh no, you just turned it into real spoilers, lol.
I wouldn't venture into this thread before playing Whispers of the Oblivion, anyway.
Y, i think i will simply crawl away from here...
