I'm not sure where to place this, But since its starcraft related and its a issue i tought its best to post it here.
I'm not any kind of computer expert, And since im locked from the official forums (Where i didnt recieve any help whatsoever tough) I tought my bet posting here would hopefully be more resulting. / Helpfull.
Alright, first off the issue
When i put my Graphic settings (Shaders) On medium+, Shadows gets put to medium MINIMUM.
I was hoping to point it out better by adding a small picture, And you can experiment with it ingame too if you dont know what im talking about exactly.
So, My question is, Is it possible to put Shaders on High but Shadows on Low.
Because at the start of the game i have this "Lagg" on 4 player + maps, Everytime a map starts it laggspikes for 3-5 seconds, Kind of screwing and disabling any splits, Workers point out and anything a normal gamer can do without lagg.
According to a unupdated Xfire Gaming rig, (System specs) and i add in things updated.
Manufacturer:
System manufacturer
Processor:
AMD Athlon(tm) X2 250 Processor (2 CPUs), 3.0GHz
Memory:
2048MB RAM
Hard Drive:
500 GB
Video Card:
ATI Radeon HD 4850
Sound Card:
Speakers (High Definition Audio Device)
Keyboard:
USB-hoofdhub
Mouse:
Labtec laser glow
Operating System:
Windows 7 Professional 32-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_rtm.090713-1255)
TLDR: I need someway to put my shaders on High, But keeping Shadows at low.
If you cant set it in the game options look under your starcraft 2 folder in my documents for the file variables.txt, it contains all those settings which can be customized as much as possible
It should have a tons more. There is a thread documenting about these value on the battlenet support forum. Feel free to even add in value that it does not have.
As i didnt find any aid in that thread (Regarding the Shader Med Shadow min settings) I tried searching the US Forum and i noticed ALOT of players have the same issue as mine but sadly no answer has been found,
Edit:PS: I also found the bigger version of Variables.txt, But changing that just reverts back once i startup sc.
I was looking at the Variables.txt in the Account, When i should have took the one in the regular SC folder.
