I have done lot of testing with attack waves and I still don't know exactly how AI sends the wave. What units ar selected for wave? For example if there is 50 Marines in map what 5 Marines it chooses to send? If units are fighting somewhere else are they usable for attack waves? Things like that.
I assume, you are asking this in the Galaxy Script section, because you think, we would have insight in the source code for the attack waves functions, right? Well, unfortunately, these functions are just natives like everything else; we cannot look directly at the implementation of it (at least not without the game's source code).
So your guess is as good as mine; we can just test as you do it and draw conclusions based on the test results.
Yes, you undrstood right what I meant. I don't understand anything about "galaxy scripting" and just wanted to ask have anyone else inspected the code?
in case of units AI you can see it, Im not sure about waves but i guess you also can.
Click Modules or whatever in upper menu, find console, type browse, there are all those triggers. AI and everything is in galaxy.
Did you look at these files? There are just a bunch of declarations, constants and maybe some calls to other AI functions. No indication of the mechanics behind, no insight in the actual behavior of units or attack waves. Its just a list of functions you can use.
You can look, how the melee AI is coded, yes, and you can see, how it uses attack waves, but you cannot see, what a function like SendAttackWave does exactly, when you use it.

If I misunderstood your post, sorry for that :).

So, I keep on testing ;)
