Thought I put up a thread where you can give idea's or requests for UI Tutorials.
so you can pretty much ask examples of just about anything you want to see done.
I've tried to learn how to do it but I'm terrible and altering the SC2Layout, so can someone please do this for me:
I want all of the command panel buttons hidden except for a 4 button square that is as far in the lower right corner as possible while still being visible.
How to make UI switching? Like Original and custom one? Or both custom UI? At all how much possible to fit Custom UI and switch in between? or just one with triggers hiding it?
your best bet would be to make either both UI's with dialogs, or 1 with layout other with dialogs. afaik you cannot swap between different SC2Layout UI's on the go.

Anchors? Sorry I'm not familiar with specific terms.
Anchor is the thing where your frame is sticked to. Just like dialogs and dialog items have anchors. Anchors tell you where your frame's offsets start.
An example how you can change anchors is already in the thread:
Enexy already gave you the frame you need.\\
I didn't check this, but without specifications where you want to have your message box, nobody will be able to provide code that you only need to copy and paste.\\
So, check these things out and try to learn from them.\\
You can also check Blizzard's custom map forums as they have a small example there.
I will even give you a code snippet from my work where you can see how you "delete" anchors.\\

<Frametype="MinimapPanel"name="GameUI/UIContainer/ConsoleUIContainer/MinimapPanel"template="MinimapPanel/MinimapPanelTemplate"file="GameUI"><Anchorside="Right"relative="$parent"pos="Max"offset="76"/><Anchorside="Top"relative="$parent"pos="Min"offset="-27"/><Anchorside="Left"relative="$this"pos="Min"offset="0"/><Anchorside="Bottom"relative="$this"pos="Max"offset="0"/></Frame>
edit:
seems like quote and code tags don't like each other...
Ok I pasted the exact codes you wrote into the SC2Layout file and put it into my map. Nothing happened.
you need to tell the map that the SC2Layout file needs to be used as a custom layout file....

Tutorial... huh?
can you give me a tutorial on how to form this? ive looked through the tutorials and i cant figure it out for shit.
(the info panel is a bit messed up, i meant to just drift it to where the minimap used to be)
If I understand your problem correctly, you have trouble with determining which name to use to adjust the correct panel?
ok, so far, the console panel WILL NOT GO AWAY. how do i remove the console panel (Console panel <visible val="false" doesnt work)
How do u render a dialog beneath the UI? i cant seem to get borders working
and why wont either of tehse work lol
@illidans911: Go
set RenderPriority to 1 orso to render it below other frames.
see the layout file below for hiding the console images.

How do I move the chatbox to the lower left corner?
I need a step-by-step explanation. I won't know what to do if I just get a list of codes.

That is a nice tutorial, but not what I need.
I need to move the SC2 chatbox.
It seems simple enough. Does anyone have a layout file for it?
@NarcoticNite: Go
use the anchors to move it.

add it to the list there.
Thanks for all the help. I finally figured it out.
Here is how I did it for anyone who also needs it.
