I followed OneTwoSC's tutorial to the letter and it works. The one that that is bothering me is that the camera view will zoom away from the unit in question when it is angled very low to the ground instead of zooming inward and stopping behind the unit. When you change the camera angle it snaps back to the unit but it still isn't what im going for.

I'd say its a built in behaviour for the camera. I'm not sure if it can be changed, but hopeful someone will be able to help you out :)
Hey I think it is something to do with the default camera in data editor cameras tab. There's a distance maximum field in there somewhere i think...
