I've seen a few discussions related to the issue of strings vs. text ... but I'm wondering if anybody has managed to successfully detect a clan name in a trigger, and use that clan name and branch to different logic.
Even a detect and manipulate bank file and re-back to process as logic branch would do ... ?
What exactly do you mean by clanname? If the players name is ClanNameRohime then do X actions? Please elaborate what you mean by clan?
<Clan> Rohime .... yes, the clan name being a type of group... ( click the groups icon (bottom right of sc2 screen) and "create" type "Clan").

the playername is just available as text, even if the clanname would be available as text too you can't do shit with it.
