Actor Messages via triggers set with a variable? Is it possible to set the value of the actor message to a variable? Like say I want to send the message of changing the actors facing to variable X, how could I do that?
Like say I want to send the message of changing the actors facing to variable X, how could I do that? =/= A actor variable. I wanna change the value of the actor message to a certain number so that I can make the actor equal to the facing angle of a variable. Not trying to save the actor message type but change the value of the type of the select actor message to a variable.
well im assuming you are using the Value tab to do your messages, just use the Function tab and you will be allowed to use things like variables in the message, not all the messages are available as functions though
The actor message is actually a syntaxed strings. So if you want to send message with variable, make sure you have string variable and use custom script to pass that string as a message
Variable - Set Forward X = (Cos((Current camera yaw of player Player)))
Variable - Set Forward Y = (Sin((Current camera yaw of player Player)))
Variable - Set Forward Z = (Tan((Current camera pitch of player Player)))
Actor - Send message (SetRotation Forward X Forward Y Forward Z 0 0 0.0) to actor (Actor for Missle 1)
Doing something like that will allow you to do facings but for some reason i cant get it to roll X,Y are same axis it seems

you could click on the actor message Variable Type and click on the initial value
